marketing team calls a 1644p display 4k just because it has 4k horizontal pixels. and tech channels scream 4k panel oled just like their marketing team wants. I guess samsung should market their 1440p displays as 3.5K lmao

[deleted post]First of all I'm not speaking for everyone when I said I like specific smartphone for so and so reasons. That's what opinion means. Not calling names under Anonymous tag.
Secondly, I'm not teaching, I'm reminding the other guy what he missed in his comment.
Thirdly, there is no harm in explaining how one thing/feature can be beneficial to others. After all Sony threads are about speaking about Sony smartphones and not about other brands.
Finally, I don't like many people using same device like me. So you see, I'm not selling anything to anyone. I'm just sharing my opinion and interests and my thoughts. Whether you like it or not, doesn't matter.

Nobody here asking/forcing/begging you to buy this smartphone because it is 4K screen.
It is all about choices, preferences & likings. Many people prefer this smartphone over Apple or Samsung or Chinese smartphones including me. Deal with it. Sony is making profits. Repeat this.

It got lost and all the backup I had on the SD card, got lost with it as well.
Now I regularly back up my files on external drive or cloud.

Samsung only increasing the pixel of their cameras but removed SD card from this year. It make no sense to do it. You will need SD card in future if you take bigger size photos and it is easy to transfer all your files to new phone when you buy one it in future.

Upscaled 1080p videos on 4K screen look better than 1080p on 1080p display.
Everybody knew Sony is one of the best in upscaling low res videos on their 4K TVs.
