The same device sold in USA for $800 can be over $1300 in other locations. But some people use the software updates to justify price. Apple gives longer software support because they sell old iphones for at least 2 -3 years. They still make and sell Xr.
- Pixel every year come with issues. Every year they make phone worse than previous. Pixel 5 is worse than Pixel 4 except battery endurance. Pixel 5 is much inferior to other 2018 flagships.
It is pretty stupid few tech sites that demand other brands to price their best phones about 15-20% cheaper than iphone , no matter how better they are.
Be sure 13 Pro Max is gonna be inferior to all current android phones from 2021 that cost over $1000.

Their updates also produce new bugs all the time.

I made a decision to just go back and forth with Android and iOS Every 2 to 2.5 years, I will switch. So I only get one new iPhone every 5 years. Same with Android. These phones can last a really long time. Just take care of it by putting it in a case and change the battery every few years.
I really don't have a preference. I use Android for the customization but need iOS for iMessage and my Apple Watch.

Based on what I've seen for years, Google really took the leaks to its own hand and own way by "accidentally" leaking their first hand since Pixel 4, and now this, one at a time after they weren't happy at all with the continuous of Pixel 3 leaks 3 years ago where Google Pixel 3's leaks are everyday breakfast in the tech world, even D-1 of the launch...
