My mum has a Samsung Galaxy J8 from 2018 currently running on Android 10 and it never suffers any lag at all. If the UI can run without lag on a budget or entry-level device, that shows a well-optimized OS software.

Much sharper images, deeper detail levels, accurate color rendition.
Videos were a huge improvement. Hands down best Camera on smartphones right now.. Miui 12.5 update has made it even better.

What a ridiculous statement. People bought things based on preference. If someone into photography, of course they need a high end camera. Be it on smartphone or an actual one. I for one when choosing a smartphone, camera comes first, the rest comes later, and definitely mentally ok 🙄

A friend of mine had been using his old Xperia XZ Premium for seven months before he replaced it's battery. Battery was dead within a few months. Phone had terrible battery life to begin with. Around the 12 month mark the display went off.

Most of them come with 6gb RAM.
Earlier it was an issue as hardware wasn't there.

Every U... moreI can definitely attest to that. I tried the Nokia 3.4 and Xiaomi Redmi 9T before at a phone retail store and I'm really surprised with the Nokia performance despite only having eMMC internal storage with SD 460 and 3GB RAM. Even the similarly-priced Xiaomi with a more powerful SD 665/662 chipset and UFS 2.1 storage still suffers from some lag.
Heck, I had a similar experience before when I first ditched Android for Windows Phone from mid-2016 to this day. To see a low-spec Windows Phone device with just 1GB RAM and SD400 chipset like the Nokia Lumia 830 (which happened to be my first ever Windows Phone device) can keep the buttery smooth performance and fluidity at all times without a single lag really speaks volume. Even my previous Android phone with more powerful specs can't do that!

But at least Xiaomi fill in the gap left by Huawei. And sometimes they are releasing nice models with good specs for the money. Their software support is not good though.

Every UI skin, no matter how bloated is, will run good on a flagship phone or a good spec phone.
The fact MiUi runs great on phones like Mi11 Ultra or Mi10T Pro doesn't mean anything. Of course is running ok. That doesn't make it a good, lag free skin. Because it's helped by the hardware of the phone.

That people praise Mi 11 Ultra saying it's the best phone ever made when actually the screen, ram, internal storage(UFS) and that amazing camera are all from Sammy. LoL ! They didn't do anything other than assembling the phone and load up their crap version of Android in it. Before this trash Poco, my dad had a Sony XA2 and now he is missing it a lot. It never cause the problems this one is. The moment Xiaomi will have Oneplus prices, all the endless praise will disappear like it was never there. I rather have a Sony phone over a product from a trash company like Xiaomi. Best chinese brand was Huawei but I was forced to move away from my P40 Pro.
