Only Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will get glass back, Plus and vanilla to get plastic

I sold my Galaxy S21 because of this reasons (also some heating issues, probably because of the cramped size). Luckily with almost the same amount of money I paid for it, because I get it at a nice discount.
I will wait to see what Realme brings to the table this months, if not I will definitely be interested in a S22 series (+ or ultra). No more small phones for me.

Isn't plastic bad for the environment? Why then they removed the charger from the box? All lies. Only for increase their profit selling each recent years worse phones to their customers.
IR removed check
Audio jack removed check
Optical zoom lens removed in almost all phones check
Premium build materials removed check
Charger inside the box removed check and upcoming for more models.
A this rate soon they'll sell you a toy phone for childs at 800 - 1000 euros. lol I clearly will not purchase those anymore. Don't worth the money. Only few series phones still worth the money and for those i prefer some competitor's phones at the same price. They can keep their platic cheap but overpriced and featureless junk flagship phones for themselves.

But everything plastic I had got horribly scratched from most basic careful use. Glass on the other hand, you need to be quite abusive and it'll still look nice. I'm a sucker for white phones and white glass can be all scratched up and smudged from fingers and it still looks good. Fancy colorful mirror like plastic backs would look absolutely horrible.

And absorbed far more energy, preventing a little more the screen from shattering. But new trend is glass and aluminum. Well, better for the manufacturer since it's cheaper than heavy duty plastic.

It's also far superior to plastic in normal scenarios like puting phone in a pocket or table. Plastic will get scratched and wear out almost instantly. Especially all these fancy glass looking rainbowy coatings. Only plastic backs I ever accepted were made of solid color plastic. Even if it was dented or horribly scratched, color inside the material was still the same.

Aluminum is good but it still scratches dents and bends, the right plastic wont do any of this, it will just flex and return to shape.
Its about picking a material with properties that can handle the use case of the device.
Glass is like the car door issue, people equate a solid resounding "Thud" of a car door closing with quality. iwith modern methods and materials, a well built car door doesnt thud anymore, but car manufactures build it in as its what people equate with premium!

Genuine question. Both are cheap materials. Glass is more resistant to scratches, but it's easier to break. Also, plastic is widely used in expensive products. Just because some companies indirectly tell you that glass is more premium, it doesn't mean that you have to blindly believe them.
