Android app support is definitely an enticing prospect, but a minimum of 4GB RAM can be a bit of a problem for older laptops with soldered RAM. Time to look for a brand new replacement.

Because such change is purely visual that look nice on screenshots but is useless in real life usage.
The same with start menu, YES you dont change something that work, read: simply system of menu that give you quick access to apps and options, instead of big chunky icons for single apps and bunch of smaller buttons that force you to do 2-3 clicks instead of 1...
You dont need changes in that departament and change here are not required to puch other, more important updates. Start separating things instead of throwing them all to one bag and saying that you need changes here.
Most of changes in that update are here just to ""be there". Nothing more nothing less

John, 25 Jun 2021Android app support is useless update? Weird flex, but okay.Because 99% of users will not use it at all?
Its ok for developers and people that like to play with software, but most of people on site like gsmarena seriously forget that for example that most of Android user dont care or dont even know about custom roms, dont know or dont care about software number, most of users dont even know what camera resolution they have. But a bunch of users that are like half of percentage of Android users complain that some phone doesnt have this or that...
And here we have Windows... Market where gamers think they are some sort of elite when they are literally in the margin of being maybe 5-10% of Windows users, and they think that ATI and Nvidia are most popular and used graphic cards, when in reality Intel crush them on number of users due to enterprise and office/school equipment.
Now we talk about some rare feature of running Android apps that 99% of windows users dont even know what APK format is...
So yeah, look at features and changelog in wider perspective than your own nose :]

I like the good battery backup of Windows 10. Is way better than when I first bought it with windows 8. Hopefully this windows 11 update brings even excellent battery backup.

That would've been big.. But they just changed visuals here and there which are things like Google do these days with there major Android updates.. And same with Chinese Smartphone manufacturers with their custom UIs updates..
Rarely, any good upgrade is provided these days..
Everybody just providing visuals updates in the name of upgrades and increasing the version number to make people feel they are using something new and cutting edge, when there's actually no improvement.
Android app support is nice but no so clearity on it if it will support app side loading just like Android supports and from the looks of it, it seems like only apps from Amazon App Store would b able to install, not the Google's Play Store.
But no talk on arm 64 bit processors support clearly indicates Microsoft wants to live with Intel aging technology and processors, given the announcement of partnership with it... Clearly intel paid good chunk of money in Microsoft's mouth in hope to save their sinking ship.
Partnership with Arm would've yielded much better results

Humans invented cars, planes, boats, bikes etc and every invention got better and better over time.
Phones replaced MP3, Radios, Navigations, Cameras and camcoders, maps, Video and Audio recorders and many else things and still evoilving.
Phones today are miles ahead of phones of 10 or 20 years ago and phones from 10 or 20 years ahead future will be miles away from current phones.
Same can be said litterary for everything but some technology evolving faster some slower until we get to a time when that technology will be completely replaced by another device.
