That's not my point, my point is that all OLED displays are at risk to suffer burn-in, brighter displays at a higher risk. If you're claiming that higher-quality OLEDs don't get burn it at all because they're higher quality, then you're lying.
"Lower quality panels will get burn-in if pushed to those limits."
It's the same thing with higher quality OLED, it's just how it works.
"Sony dim panel is of lower quality."
I'm going to need a source on this
"OLED burning risk in year 2021 is very low especially on higher quality panels."
OLED risk will always be a thing and that is dependent on you as the user, if you crank up the brightness all the time, you will get burn in regardless of having a high-quality panel.
"You simply can't handle the fact that Sony screen brightness not on par with other screen on the market"
You simply don't understand how burn-ins work. Any phone with OLED is at risk of burn-in, it's an organic material, so it is impossible to prevent degradation, you can only delay it and reducing brightness is one of them.
OLED burn-in is guaranteed regardless of the panel quality, but you can delay it depending on your usage.

Lower quality panels will get burn in if pushed to those limits. Sony dim panel is of lower quality. Which is why they kept brightness low

If you crank the brightness to that max and constantly have it like that, then you're more likely to have burn-in, than if you reduce brightness.
Every OLED is at risk of burn-in

Both of which had LCDs. I used an LG V30 for years and never got the slightest bit of burn in. Never had any burn in on my Galaxy Note 4. And I've yet to see any burn in on my Redmi K40. (though it is only 4 months old)

joe nodden, 13 Jul 2021Bruh 4K TVs were common well before iPhones could shoot in 4K. I don't think so....
4k recording made its debut on iPhone 6s (Sept 2015)
4k TVs were very expensive at the time.
I had an old Samsung TV with full HD resolution at the time.
Now I have 4k TV. In the next few years, 8k will be mainstream. I'll buy one then.
Point is that we can't call 8k video recording gimmick just because 8k displays aren't mainstream right now.

Are you talking about Sony in 2013-14, or now? Sony has smaller sensors than the other android flagships that are out now.

Of course, there is, other flagships have bigger sensors.

As for videos its the same as for stills, regular or sharper from pixel binning / higher resolution, no need for super pricy screens to see the difference. That is if you are not on FHD screen, but even then, once you move on, you will see the difference, as the purpose of those recordings is to see them later.

I can see a difference even in QHD without zooming the page and pixel peeping.
Seeing is believing, cannot believe they did not try that at sony, 4K screen is good enough to see a difference, output is not perfect after all, pixel binning also helps. No need to compare to super-sharp S20/S20+ which would be just bullying, quad bayers can do similarly well.

I never said you're OP8 has burn-in, a brighter OLED display is more likely to have burn-in.
"By your logic every phone brighter than Xperia will get burn in"
No that is not my logic, don't insert anything onto me. Any bright OLED display is at risk of burn-in, and it depends on your usage as well. If you're outdoors a lot and have the display at max all the time, then you are more likely to suffer burn-in than someone who keeps it dim most of the time.
"Aha you Sony Boyz don't surprise me one bit"
Aha, you still haven't told me where I lied. Maybe actually disprove what I said, instead of calling me a Sony Boy. Just because you haven't suffered burn-ins on your phone doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Mobilemaster, 13 Jul 2021Really? I am not a photographer, and I think many of us her... moreWhen people say "4 to 1" and "9 to 1" pixel binning, that means that the sensor has one "pixel block" for a each colour with either 4 or 9 pixels. E.g. 4 green pixels in a green block, or 9 green pixels in a green block, alternating with blue and red blocks. It's essentially a broken-down pixel that is reconstituted through calculations into a "full pixel" of one colour.
A "Full" 48MP image is actually reconstituted by an algorythm that manipulates the pixels, reorganizing their position to mimic separate units and correcting artifacts. Something in the middle would have to essentially be made by AI, either by upscaling or downsampling one of the images, as it would reflect no physical organization or reorganization of pixels.
