Xiaomi to address the proximity sensor issue on some of its phones

I have poco x3 pro
It was when i got it but have small bugs that was fixed after its update.
But with that update my proximity sensor got weird and it will not work properly and also the inbuilt voice changer in the games are also not working properly.
During the feedback i didn't got any good response.
Surely MIUI is worst.
If the OS changes the phone will be at top level....

I use Mi11 Ultra after a Huawei Mate. I waited for Huawei to get rid of the restrictions and seeing that there were no chances, I switched to Xiaomi. Great regret. The dialer is rubbish. The proximity sensor is rubbish. I sent messages to Xiaomi and no response. Lack of respect. Xiaomi will never reach Huawei quality with such behavior.

I'm having the same problem .......I use an MI A3 and there is nn setting for proximity sensor .....I've looked on YouTube and still to nn avail ....this needs to be fixed imediately bc it's very irritating and I have important calls that sometime require switching to fave time ...so please fix in the next update as soon as possible

That means that if the speaker holes get gunked up, the proximity detection will not work correctly. If your proximity sensor is not working, try to clean the speaker grille with alcohol and an earbud, wetting everything and rubbing vigorously until the holes start clearing up. You can also try using fine strands of wire if the alcohol rubbing is not working, but be careful not to damage the speaker.

I have Redmi Note 8 (2021) for a past couple of months. The same annoying problem here. So many times I have pressed MIC turn off button while calling even with phone tight close to my ear. Or even ended call. And after newest updates I can't find certain settings, there's no setting for screen lock or sensor.

Proximity sensor issue on MIUI 12.5.3: Placing a call in the normal mobile to mobile carrier (traditional) also calls in WhatsApp, the screen goes black immediately. Have to unlock the phone using the power button in order to see the screen again. This is unacceptable for a 2021 phone. Come on Xiaomi... How very disappointing!

Since a couple of days, when i start listening voice notes on whatsapp, mobile screen becomes black for few seconds. This is happening multiple times in a day. To check this issue on self basis, we have found that proximity sensor stopped working properly. Please Xiaomi look into this issue on priority.

When am getting calls number and name not display after 10 secs it's appear. And sometime only phone rings no display. It's very bad experience with mi 11x phone.

My wife said that she wanted the same phone so I gave her mine and ordered a new 8Gb 256Gb for myself. The new one doesn't have the proximity problem. The first one has a tempered glass protector on it but the new one only has the plastic film that the phone comes with. I wonder if the tempered glass is what is causing the problem, or whether the 8Gb version is built differently?

I have the Mi 10t pro and have had this issue from the start.... Not a deal breaker for me, I just press the power button with my thumbs as soon as I see the screen light up from the corner of my eye... Only ever have to do it once during the duration of the call.
