Early Pixel 6 benchmarks put CPU performance below Snapdragon 888, Exynos 2100

The single-core performance is identical since they all use the same big cores, it's the multi-core performance where the Google chip lags behind.

    I don't consider benchmarks a gimmick, it's a metric for gaming and another heavy-duty applications, but they make no difference for me at the end of the day, cuz i don't game.

      They should schedule the 2 X1 cores to run together. It'll produce a ton of heat and drain the battery crazy fast but it should improve the multi-core performance.

        I was watching Tensor run emulators and it didn't look it was struggling.

        Performing below Snapdragon 888 was expected any way. We complain about battery life and heating issues with the 888 but still complain if another SoC slightly underperforms against it. So we want SoCs to be the best benchmarks but still have 20 hour SOT and a chip that runs as cold as Siberia.

              Even the Realme GT Neo2 and a bunch of phones with SD 870 beats the Pixel 6 in multi core score.
              I don't remember Pixels being known for having high performance (which is why they didn't mind settling for a SD 765 on the Pixel 5), they are just smooth because of stock Android and better optimized.

                            We already knew this.

                              Let's use some nuance here. Yes it is lower. It's practically the same as the Exynos. It is within 8% of the Snapdragon 888 which is known to have some heating issues. Finally, GPU matters more for games.
