Neither you have any clue about how they tested it. There are no details givem about driver versions, cooling settings and so on. From a hardware perspective, the m1 max doesnt deliver more raw performance. It's all software sided optimization of certain workloads, combined with an awful anti consumer chip design. Good luck if you want to upgrade ram or ssd on that thing.

Premiere Pro on the MSI laptop runs native x86 codes and is compiled in 64bits
Premiere Pro on the mac runs native M1 codes

I'm not sure what you mean by "that explains", there's no disadvantage for both platforms.

DPreview has it compared against MSI with discrete graphics. Why does anyone want to spend that kind of money for a slower machine?

"This time, however, we are getting to know that the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 will offer four Cortex-X1 Prime cores clocked at 2.995 GHz and four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4 GHz under load."

So, Snapdragon has skipped using the X2 Cores for now, and thus, hasn't moved to the ARM Armv9 Architecture for now. So, regardless of how good the 8cx Gen 3 is, the Gen2, if it uses the Armv9 Architecture, can do even better.

                              Anonymous, 02 Dec 20218cx = 4(X1) @3.0GHz + 4(A78) @2.4Ghz 7c+ Gen 3 = 4(A78) ... moreThis.
I heard other sites claiming the configurations differently, such as:
                              8cx Gen3: 2.95GHz A78 + 2.35GHz A78
                              7cx Gen3: 2.45GHz A76 + 1.50GHz A55
...but they don't seem that realistic to me.

We also have some GeekBench 5 scores leaked for them:

On laptops you're not limited to processors 100% optimized for smartphones. Look at any honest comparison of mobile GPUs from AMD/Nvidia and you'll see the Apple processor is dwarfed by the performance of the two big ones. Arguing that the big ones use more power is void as long as Apple is stuck with not being able to scale their stuff to compete with big boy stuff.

They even mentioned "Once we move on to exports, where RAM once again plays a major role, there is absolutely no contest."

So does the Battery test in this regard. So does the puggybench.

In applications where HW acceleration is properly used and optimized, they had nothing left to say than:

"The Creator 17's Intel Core i9 CPU paired with some hardware acceleration from the NVIDIA RTX 3080 GPU consistently posts faster numbers than the Mac".

Now imagine the RTX 3080 mobile combined with an even better AMD 5900HX.

I get that the M1 Max is more battery efficient, nonetheless. Just not as extreme as they portray it with their ram neutered win notebooks. No wonder they have to keep the cpu/gpu load for longer and thus sucked even more battery.
