Don't do the update... It has way too many bugs.. even a full hard reset with reinstall had issues. VPN doesn't work properly. Google Voice call redirection doesn't work either. The DPI/ scaling is way off. Even with the highest resolution and the smallest font size settings... The text is still way larger than it should be.

oneplus will lose a lot of hardcore fans!
we bought oneplus phones for the software experience and the cheep price.
we lost oxygenOS, we lost good prices... i dont see any reason to buy the next oneplus device. when my oneplus9 pro dies, i will buy from another brand, for sure...

After upgrading my one plus 6T phone having issues on down load. Reads down load failed try again. What is the solution to rectify this.

Wow, it's FUUGLY! I switched to OP from Samsung years ago because of the OxygenOS, which at the time was better looking, much faster system-wise and update-wise, and had less bloatware. But now, the OxygenOS has become a complete sh*tfest. Well.. maybe it's my cue to jump ship onto iOS.

That 'beautiful' UI you are praising is not that good... had my fair share of disappointments with Samsung so I don't think I will return to this brand anytime soon.

Unfortunately it seems we might have to move to Pixel phones... Glad I bought a OnePlus before the switch to colorOS, but it's sad what's happening.

Brilliant review GSMarena you didn't mince any words. I hope Youtubers who are Oneplus fanboys like MKBHD and Dave2d will also tell the truth about current Oneplus instead of sucking up to them like always.

Remember this, the only reason people don't buy samsung because it's expensive, not because it's bad. Just that. Put any china brand (with same specs) the same price as samsung, and you would find people only buy samsung with it's beautiful One UI.

My OnePlus 8T will be my last OnePlus phone. I will Instead of updating Oxygen OS 12 with cheap and ugly themes, I would have stayed at Oxygen OS 11 🙂 on my 8T.

Just bought a OnePlus 9 Pro because of OxygenOS, I guess it's going to stay on O²OS 11.2.10.10 for a few years. Seems like clean, intuitive, bloat-free enjoyers will all have to go to Google soon.
