It's just resting on your hand, looks like your holding it tight. and 90% use a case. Who and why would you not use case, if it drops , it has scratch dents marks, you lose resell value.

Why is it a recent trend from smartphone makers to design flat sides? It's terrible for ergonomics, I held the Vivo V23 in my hand for a couple of minutes and the sharp sides started digging into my fingers.

No but frankly, people are spitting on the 21:9 screen which is credible, legitimate and has the right to exist, but find normal the 19:9 and 20:9 screens which have no cinematographic utility or video games. Are people stupid? Or is it the effect of the aggressive advertisements of large manufacturers which removes all faculty of logical thinking? The unacceptable truth is that Sony is ahead of the screen format, and it is sure and certain that if Samsung and Apple which used the 21:9 screen and Sony used the 20:9 or 19:9 screen, then these people will all say "Sony is late, Sony lives in 2013, Sony this and Sony that", these people are cancers for the tech world and real brainless hypocrites.

It's like saying "He, please remove the wings of the plane and make it float on water!", just take a boat then. Or are you buying a phone only because of the brand and you want the brand to make the phone that fit your need? I'm pretty sure you got it reversed then.

This fake ratio designed only because of newly added notch didn't last two years. Not even worth mentioning. No one want an aspect ratio that can't fit any standard without losing a part of the screen.

I love how people love to argue about aspect ratio or a button removal and ignore bigger issues, mainly software/security updates..
In a time where everything cost nearly a thousand.. Choices become directed more towards which phone will live the longest, not only hardware wise but software wise too.
I've been with Sony since Z Ultra till XZ2.. Then I got a Note 9 (gift) which till now receive updates (will not in a month or two)..
And since I do use Nova and Tasker, the experience is pretty similar across devices aside from the phone apps (camera, music,.. Etc)
I love Sony phones and how they look but my brain and my pocket says it's not worth it.

However that was a limitation of most. Also however Sony tends to have more buggy releases despite their super late release. Like Apple. Although thankfully not as bad.
