Good that HTC is still alive. Hope it will do a comeback. But if you ask me who is the king of course Samsung is the king now. Forget laggy TouchWiz. One UI is ultra amazing.

HTC and LG made the best phones back in the day. Their failing was not sticking with the things that made earlier models successful. HTC's metal body, stereo speakers and tweaked stock-like UI were very popular. How hard would it be to take a punt and release an improved M8?

Seeing that they will pair it with AR/VR, means this will be a weird product like those phones that supported Project Tango a while ago, and that means software support might be crap and it might be expensive for what it is.
I dont know why they just dont pick up the U11+ design, drop a 3.5mm jack, update specs and ta-da: you have an actual solid phone ready for sale.

If you want to comeback then concentrate on phones and not other junk that won't win you mass sales.
I loved my original HTC Desire back in the day but my HTC Titan on Windows Phone 7 was amazing.... Still miss that phone.

Hope it does not cost in Europe an obscene proce like xiaomi is gonna charge for 12 pro.
Because €1200 for phone that lacks jack, IP rating, sd slot, usb 3.2 and uses crap dual JN1 with pathetic 48mm, awful UI and no monthly security patches.

Great news - we need more competition and not flagship phones with always same specs, design and abandoned features.... (such a pitty that LG is gone)...
Here my wishlist:
- flat rectangular display
- OLED with not too high resolution to save battery
- Dual Sim with SD or 512gb
- Stylus or better just digitizer with Microsoft pen compatibility
- IP68
- good battery life
- weight max 190g
- headphone jack with Hi-Fi DAC
- (wireless charging, fm-radio)
