They made a choice of not selling in so many countries because they didn't expect their phones to sell, not because they lack money. Same with Sony and LG. Make crap phones and they're not going to sell because of fierce competition. Competition makes companies make better phones and that's good for the consumer.

Also the keywords : AR & VR .. Classic HTC .. this will have premium price tag & flop just like their Blockchain phone, Button-less phone, FB phone, phone they made that dedicated to female.
Why not just stick to the proven things like boom speakers, 3.5mm jack maybe with quad dac, best lcd display, solid design & feel and htc sense Ui.

The more brands you have, less money most are going to make.
Only those with large mobile business can afford selling in so many markets.
You are not going to see for example Pixel being sold in 100 countries. Same applies to Asus, Sony, Htc and Meizu.
