Not going to lie, I love the design. But before I make ANY desicion, I need to know if the battery life is as terrible as the 2020 model.
It also is way too expensive for what it offers. I read elsewhere that it is was specifically released for carriers and mobile service providers to add to data- and phone-plans.

        https://f-droid.org/repo/com.termux_118.apk - direct download link
From there, update the repositories and install any package you want.
My Termux app is now occupying almost 21GB with Kali on top of it :)

EricDVP, 13 Mar 2022Apple doesn’t need you to think about it It has more than ... moreI was just stating my opinion. It is a poll after all, right?
iOS is so popular because they made it very easy to use for the masses. But the moment you want to use it for something more complex like running shell scripts or booting Kali from it, you instantly realize that you're holding a good looking expensive paperweight that can't do basic stuff like USB OTG.
Don't even get me started with iTunes. The nightmare of sync apps.
Again, for default users it's great, but for advanced users it's a useless paperweight.

It's a very fast phone, but since iOS is a toy OS, and the screen is tiny, there's not much you can do with this speed.

Sadly android is trying to become a toy OS as well. Productivity apps like termux are being slowly killed.

Anonymous, 13 Mar 2022I never wanted apple, because it doesn't offer anythin... moreAh yes, the same old "muh specs on paper" and "you can root/sideload/moar of everything". None of which matters. People go with iPhone because of everything else.

All the big numbers in specs can be very much hit or miss because we've seen many phones with amazing specs on paper that performed really poorly in real world. And it's always a lottery. Where with iPhone, no matter which one you take, you're guaranteed it'll perform good.

Rooting, custom ROMs and sideloading are also greatly overexaggerated. Rooting brings so many issues and so does custom ROM's. A lot of apps don't work if bootloader is unlocked which means tons of extra fiddling with Magisk. Plus, so many ROM's are one off garbage and even reputable ones like LineageOS often depend from device to device, are often limited to nightly builds only. Been there and experience was terrible from start to end. Sideloading is only useful if you have no Gapps installed which creates so many extra problems or if you're pirating apps. For everything else it just doesn't matter.

All this said, I just prefer iPhone with iOS that can't do any of that, but just has ridiculously long official software support with major OS updates as well as security updates. It's just what it is and it works flawlessly. When you go through all the "custom" nonsense like I have, you start appreciating when device just works right out of the box without the need to fiddle with it like you've created it, not bought to use.

I have an iPad Mini 6 cause there are no decent small Android tablets. There's not a day where I don't curse about some random limitation in iOS that Android has been able to do for like 5+ years. A15 is great though tbf.

And s8 tab ref 5g connectivity?

It has more than 80 percent of the flagship market :)

This is a phone. 😂 I guess if you only care about the A15 this could be an ok value.

Put Android on it, get rid of the notch, add USB-C and maybe I'll think about it.
Also, what's up with the recycled design? It's 2022, not 2012.. So lame..

I never wanted apple, because it doesn't offer anything that much better so that it's worth to spend that much money. with Android phones you can do whatever you want, you can install any app with APKs, you can configure a lot of things and you can even root it if the pre-installed interface sucks. android flagships always offer better cameras, android mid-rangers kill any vanilla iPhone, mini iPhone, or se iPhone. the only real argument to buy an iPhone is because it's expensive and you can show off with it.
