Some companies keeps cutting important accessories such as chargers under the "saving the environment" BS and instead of reducing the prices of the phones, the prices still magically goes up more and more which dose not make any sense!

Man good leather case on even a low end plastic phone protects a lot better than a Victus on both sides but without any case at all. By the way oneplus 10 pro been smacked to two halves by brutal force. Something like that is unlike to happen on normal usage.
IP65/IP68 dust/water resistant certification is not a gimmick it's very important especially if it rains a lot in certain places. So your phone won't get water damage and if it does it's under the one-year warranty from the manufacturer but with no certification, the manufacturer won't fix your water damaged phone because it's not covered by the warranty.
It is a gimmick even a low grade phones can withstand few rain drops and no phone manufacturer ever gives a water damage warranty. Here in Slovakia i run a large phoneshop company with 40 stores among my country and no of our 50+ phone brands have a water damage warranty by manufactuer. No samsung, No sony, No apple etc. Even brands like Sonim, Cat, Doogee rugged phones or Oukitel dont have water damage warranty evebn they have maximum possibe protection.

Expanded storage is way more safe than cloud storage remember a lot people cloud account gets hacked. *No is not. Memory cards can easily get broken or damaged and then does nothing just kindly ask you to delete all data on card and starts a new.
Thats way worse than trying to hack well protected by big password cloud storage.
Bluetooth headphones can ran out of power and especially if your on the road with no way to charge your Bluetooth headphones then your out of luck but with a 3.5mm jack you won't have that problem and wire audio is better than Bluetooth audio.
Same can happen to your phone and as long as you cant charge your bluetooth audio you cant do it for your phone. This makes no sense. Most bluetooth audio can last 40 hours. Most phones cant last 40 hours on heavy use.
Sony not included a charger in the box it's not a big deal because anyone who use laptop, tablet and a smartphone already have lots of charger at home. Faster charger can damage your battery slower charger will not work properly what do you trying to say???
OnePlus is trash period and Sony makes far better phone then OnePlus so if any OnePlus fanboy still delusional 😂 need a reality check and the truth hurts a lot.😅🤣😂😋
That trash period comes at cheaper price with pure android experience and tons of features Sony dont have and will not have for a very long time.
Only delusional are Sony fanboys protecting a 1400 eur device worth maybe 600 up to 800 bucks.

Both of these which Sony has plus superior wired audio, so what's your point? If you don't like cables you can still use wireless, but it helps a lot, especially with gaming. Add on the new Xperia gaming tool and it's a win for gamers.

Sony is perfect in every sense. Its not necessary every year you get a completely redesigned different device. I think Xperia 1 mark 2 set the baseline of new competition which is still unmatched, and small additions justify the new entry every year as a norm in Phones market. Design is great , speed is robust, cameras excellent. In a country where I live they still test signals receptions via Sony phones so great reception. What else someone wants?

Whatever, still they won't sell much.
Continuous zoom with extra small sensor and high aperture is useless.
Front camera with no autofocus? In 2022 on a €1400 model? Sorry, unacceptable.
And somehow now the slow 30W charging does not matter. When Samsung does it, all haters scream how this can't be. Especially when the battery time is not exceptionalbfor 5000 mAh.
A good flagship? It is. A top of the flagships? Certainly not.

Galaxys and iphones can be bought for much lesser prices when bundled with sim and two years contract (total price). That makes a good value proposition. And specifically for galaxys, after half a year, they can be found cheaper.
But Sony generally doesn't have deals with carriers so the price stays the same. Often the phone comes with a pair of cans, but a decent headphone stays for much longer than a phone so we don't need headphones every two years.

DMX, 11 May 2022Very complete, but I would have put the fingerprint reader ... moreIt's really tiring to have to put your thumb in the screen when you could have your phone already unlocked as any finger you registered can be read while picking the phone from any position, really.
I don't get the trend about finger print reader under screen, it's like the bastard child of the back sensor that could at least be used as an external control with swipe, without being reachable if the phone was resting on the back, and the side reader that can be reached in any position by any finger in any hand but is too slim to be used as an external control. Here in front it can't be reached when your phone is laying flat screen down nor be used as external control as it's not external. And don't get me started with the fact it doesn't work with a tempered glass or is clunky af a lot of people just disable it.
