Why need to test when they can straightforward implement the features already. They already used type-c port on their iPads and MacBook products. Most android flagship and even some midrange already using type-c. Just give them what most people want already, isn't that simple?

Android phones are all capable of doing everything, and iPhones can't do anything, amazing. What an amazingly balanced perspective to have on products with billions of dollars of research and development behind them, wow.
I also didn't know all the best features of Android combined together and were available on ALL Android devices in existence, making every Android like some super fusion device that just does everything known the mankind, wow!

Lightning port is antiquated and obsolete and Apple can't do anything to improve it. Apple could develop a new proprietary connector and port to replace lightning but they'll need something better than USB-C. As it stands, they can't convince the EU they're being innovative by keeping the lightning port.

As for Google, there are android roms out there.Just get a device that supports them and thats it.

Can an iPhone allow me to use a microsd card to do backups or get my files in case the screen shatters?
Can an iPhone allow me to use a 3.5mm jack on it?
Can an iPhone play nice with other devices that are not made by Apple?
Can an iPhone output video throught its lightning port?
Can an iPhone manage my files with a proper file directory like all other mobile OS out there (yes, even flip phones were able to do this)?
With such simple questions, I shall show you that iPhone is far away from being the top dog and only their naive users think like that.
iPhone is the antithesis of what phones were supposed to be. You can moan everyday about how fast it is in Safari or how good your snapchat photos look, but it lacks even simple stuff that was possible in decade old devices like the Nokia N8. And to add salt to the injury, its one of the most expensive devices on earth, too. A closed ecosystem means you are bound to whatever Apple forces onto you and you have no choice or voice on it.

Samsung making fun of iPhone battery life through ads, made Apple provide bigger batteries in iphones. Before that Apple was obsessed with making iphones thinner and thinner at the expense of battery life.
Now eu laws have made Apple include a USB port.
Apple sometimes needs kicks in the b*tt like this to make life easier for consumers.
Not saying samsung is a saint, it makes fun/criticizes Apple and then copies apple and does the same thing sometimes. Like removing charger.

It does everything you want of it and it keeps on improving, maybe not as fast as some would like but it nevertheless is moving forward.

Iphones are over priced and over-rated! The only thing the consumer is buying is the Apple name which is ridiculous! I can buy top Android phones for less than half the price that does more than iPhones do.
