Companies that want to insert themselves into every aspect of your life selling you their "ecosystem" naturally must be held to a different standard as the opportunities for anti consumer behavior is wildly different.

Though I agree, low power laptops should all charge through USB-C. I miss my ASUS Transformer netbook that I could charge from a power bank. Via microUSB, but still. I now have 14" ultra book that has USB-C, but just for data, I have to use barrel plug for charging.

Only took 8 years after the MacBook got it and 5 years after the iPad Pro got it. Maybe by 2030, we'll will finally get an iPhone Flip. Their fans will go crazy how original and revolutionary their company is. How everyone else copies Apple.
