The A Series is mostly to blame.

Lower your prices and maybe... it's really time to get rid off their chipset, not an all around processor.

This is what happens when there are just too many phones with saturated specsheets. Samsung should lessen the no. of models made per-year, i.e, Sx and Sx+, A7x, A5x, A3x and A1x only. They should get rid of As-series, M-seris and F-series.

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2022Samsung doesn’t have a stock problem. If they wanted to sel... moreExactly. Even at half the price they would still be making a huge profit in the overall units.
But good, let more people do this so they learn to keep their prices at least reasonable.

Samsung gives you weaker hardware but amazing software. Others give you powerful hardware but joke software. Decide yourself which one to get. I'm not a gamer and my A52 is good for me.

Swimming in a sea of Android devices. What did they expect when Samsung killed Tizen on mobile to push spy OS Android on to their customers. Having a whole ecosystem would have been a different ball game. In the early days without Samsung pushing Android, things would have been different. Maybe google paid them or something cause same thing happening to watch OS.
Nobody in their right mind should give up the chance to control and sell their own OS.

Also, I think it's time to wait for factory pullout sales since they are practically cheaper and brand new. Yes to saving budgets!

I think the problem lies in their target markets. Southeast Asia, India, and China are what seem to be the large markets for phones, but unfortunately, their prices are not competitive enough. Their A-series offer mediocre specs compared to what others (Mi, Infinix, Tecno, etc.) offer. Putting up a Helio G80 against a SD860? Bad.

They should focus on the very budget or good flagships (they already excel at this tho). Xiaomi can't be beaten in the midrange and upper budget segments.

As and when the saturation limit has reached, usually demand of every thing decreases. But if Samsung wants to clear the excessive stock,it may declare exchange offer in reasonable rate. Then I may exchange my one year old Samsung mobile.

Samsung should discount these stockpiles well and let people buy them at a great discounts.
While Samsung could keep improving their camera nd processor experience, as an overall packages, especially for after sales, and customer satisfaction, Samsung is much better than the competition.
Would like to see more plastic bodied phones from Samsung, cameras with even better processing, and generally lower pricing.

Or earlier phones are still good enough to keep using?

Talha Zubair , 22 Jun 2022Samsung offers high price segmentation in mod range devices... moreI went xiaomi once because of the price and box content, but went back to samsung for the better overall package. On paper specs, box content and lower prices can't replace a vastly better user experience and components.

That's great news because any Samsung merchandise that doesn't sell well Samsung normally give it away once you buy a Flagship phone or tablet, especially the ultra or fold device so hopefully when the fold 4 is released it also comes with options of a free A73 or A53 and high trade-in value. Samsung never let me down with free merchandise that's one of the main reasons I buy Samsung flagship phones and tablets.😊😇🤗

What Samsung has is a "too many choices" problem, especially in the mid-range section.
                                A03, A13, A23, A33, A43, A53, A73. These should've been maximum 3 models, if not 2.

the fault lies with samsung gimping the A-series with subpar specs, removing the headphone jack, and overpricing it. also making so many versions of essentially the same phone. the only saving grace was keeping the card slot.

Am happy to see that happen to Samsung

All they think is money for two years

I didn't buy a new A52 series because Samsung has taken away the headphone jack and FM tuner. Quite happy with the A51 until the battery goes. Got the ASUS Zenfone 8 and it's brilliant.

Samsung phones are quite expensive when compared to other brands that offer same or even better specifications within the same range. They should be considerate in their prices especially here in Africa.
