Doesnt matter how logical it would be to stay with 13 if the lower end of 14 will have the same A15, apple will make them slower so 14 will be more "appealing".

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2022Please don't do that. Android is better in all aspects... moreIt's not. Each has its benefits and not all have same requirements or needs as you do. I can ignore sideloading and custom ROM's if I get 5+ years of official updates and all the apps I basically ever need through the official means. Reason I even went with iPhone was because I was so disappointed with state of software support on Android.
Literally every phone I ever had only received 2 major OS updates and I was dealing with this nonsense for almost full decade. And it was particularly bad back then when Android was getting major new features and all vendors intentionally dropped support just when something big was added to Android, meaning you had to buy new phone just to get those features. Maybe that isn't as important now, but longevity of support is still poor and "seeding" of updates is still ridiculous on basically all phones including Google's own Pixels. I can't stress enough how amazing is with iPhone when you see ANY news about an update ANYWHERE and if you go manually check for it, update will ALWAYS be there. It was consistently this way for last 4 years on ALL Apple devices, be it phone or watch. Just this alone is worth all the premium I paid for iPhone.
But that's for me as I like having things up to date and maybe less for someone who's fine running entirely outdated Android 7 (Nougat) in year 2022...

I tried to switch to iphone 2 times but no "back gesture" kept me going back to Android. My god iOS is so so bad designed basically forcing you to use TWO HANDS to operate the phone. Another problem is the cable, i have everything already usb-c, hate cables.

It just does it so much quicker that it consumes more power, but it consumes more power in shorter time, which then evens out. iPhone 6 may need 5 seconds of waiting for some task to finish and SE3 needs 1 second. The power consumed in the end is the same, you just had to wait less time.

We need 5000 single core and 50 multi core, the year in year performance improvements are too slow and poor.

Wtf Apple is doing with all those transistor budget? M1 is 16b transistor, a15 is 15b, and this is 20b and yet m1 is much faster in cpu and gpu. Both have external modem so that doesn't count.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max runs games at 888p (that’s already higher than 12 Pro Max with just 828p).
Android phones generally renders games at a lower resolution, sometimes with missing textures only present on Apple devices.
iPad mini 6, Galaxy Tab S7 FE (4G), or Mi Pad 5 runs games smoothly because it’s forced to render games at low resolution, but switch to an iPad Air 5 with M1 and you’ll see that games are much sharper but prone to thermal throttling.
The cooling system doesn’t really matter on phones, it’s not a laptop computer

regular mode
"There's no shame in that. Even with its severely throttled raw performance, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 has more than enough to power an incredibly smooth UI experience and process everyday tasks. Plus, there are no sudden, jarring drops in the graph, and ((the performance loss is clearly intentional and deliberate rather than the result of thermal throttling))."
X-mode
"It's meant to be played in X Mode, which Asus makes clear as day by automatically enabling X Mode once you start virtually any game and even most benchmarks. In this mode of performance, the loss over time it is much less. The surface of the phone becomes very toasty and even unpleasant to the touch after about 20 minutes of sustained charging. Particularly the middle metal frame. But that is the price that must be paid for passively maintaining the internals as fresh as possible."
X+mode
"The results were a phone that remained perfectly comfortable to hold even after an hour of torture and impressively little performance loss. Both are impressive achievements, but we can't help but be reminded of the old ROG Phone 5 and the fact that it managed not to throttle thermally under similarly favorable conditions. And that's with the old AeroActive cooler without a peltier on board."
But, on the other hand, if anything that is abused were to heat up

I do not care about performance. What I would do with it, open apps 0,01s faster than phone 2 years old?
