Beware of the prices listed by Elkjøp. I live in Norway, and I can confirm that if these prices are correct, prices elsewhere will be 5-20% lower for other countries. Elkjøp demands 13490 NOK for the S22 Ultra, almost 100 euros more than the MSRP.

So if it's gonna cost 800 euros here in Norway, it's gonna cost 700/750 euros for you guys elsewhere.

What I like most: 68.2mm width !!! At last a proper width for a smartphone.

It was listed on every scandinavian retailer sites that Elkjøp owns such as gigantti / elgiganten.
Is the prices are correct i'd definitely will consider to buy one, tho. the 16+256GB model should be more like 16+512BG or rather 12+512GB as theres the virtual ROM and i don't see the real benefit of 16GB of ram on this device.

Anders, 26 Jul 2022Exactly. No one actually wants a sub 6 inch device. As you ... moreBut I want one...
And most of my colleagues want one. Heck, we still use Galaxy A40 at work for authentification and company calls, because it's so nice and compact, and can be used with one hand.

Which is my personal reason why I'll get this one.

Malek, 26 Jul 2022Please be good, i really can't find any worthy success... moreI'm also looking for a replacement of my s10e. Preferably something that runs stock or near stock android. Had a pixel 3a for a bit and loved the stock android experience. Switched to the s10e and was very disappointed with one UI.

Too expensive and horrible screen to body ratio

wbpwns, 27 Jul 2022No more flip cam? it would be larger than regular zenfone 9. look at zenfone 8 for example

If you can p... moreAny sales figure for the Zenfone 8 you could find (no matter how high/low) should indicate that there are people who actually want a sub 6" device (as you claimed that "NO ONE actually wants a sub 6" device).

if not SD card or just 256 , i think i can give up, 256 not enough for my current use

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2022Which is not ip rated and has not 8gen+ etcOoooh a slightly overclocked version of a flagship SOC, that a everyday user won't be able to tell the difference .. also there's no official IP rating but how often do you take your phone in water. When you're at the beach do you go in the sea with your phone in your pocket or do you leave it to one side. I'm not bothered about IP68 because anybody with common sense wouldn't get their phone out during rain

Oh my, this is indeed a good phone to look at. I wish there will be a zenfone 9 flip with SD 8 gen 2

If those prices are accurate, then the Zenfone 9 will be priced at USD 699 / GBP 699 / EUR 799 , which is 100 bucks higher than the launch price of Zenfone 8. I was really hoping Asus would be able to keep the prices same, because now it is priced too close to Iphone 13/ Samsung S22.

lets wait and see what the final prices are tomorrow.

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2022Asus should make a 5 inch phone too. 5.9 is relatively smal... moreWhat's the point? All the 5" phones from the last couple of years have been around the size of the Zenfone or bigger. You can't fit fit a decent battery or other modern internals in a very small case. Does anyone even make a decent 5" panel?

Like that it's even smaller than the ZF8, retains the jack, upgrades the camera, and has a bigger battery. Thought there was gonna be a 512GB model, though, going by the earlier announcements.
