I'm a bit confused. ZF8 started around 650€ when it came out. This thing starts at 800€. They didn't upgrade a lot it seems, except the SOC and the camera on the back.
And how hard is it to put a MicroSD-Slot in there? If you don't want to, then put at least a 512GB version out. Unfortunately the Xperia 5 is the only phone lineup that checks all the boxes. But that 21:9 ratio + thicker bezels make it just too long. F*CK

this thing looks awesome (of course not perfect - lack of SD card support and telephoto lens) and the price should make it have a great price to quality ratio, the only question is how it will deal with the heat but because it is thicker than Zenfone 8, I trust them to deal with it well

Disappointed to see 256GB/16GB apparently being the top of the line without microSD support.
My Zenfone 6 is equipped with 8/256 + microSD. It feels like a big step back in that regard.
I guess most people won't care about it that much, unless they enjoy filming and taking lots of pictures.

The truth is that the people who want small form factor phones are actually a vocal minority. The failure of the iPhone mini demonstrated this. Most people want large-screen phones, but they do not make noise on the internet. But I really want Android companies to make some small phones so that everyone gets their favourite form factor phones.

It's a problem that just happens, no specific triggers for it - it could happen while you're playing games, browsing or just have the phone on standby.

The camera arrangement looks awful . Why can't they make camera island like Nokia 6.1 plus anymore ?? It was perfect . Now it seems like noone makes camera arrangement as elegant as samsung , Sony . Not even apple. I hope they bring back simplicity like Sony 5 , 10 line up .no bullsh*t phone. I love them !!

If only this had an 870 instead of the 8gen 1 overheating peace of crap it would have been great.I can only imagine how bad it will work in the smaller body of this phone.Battery will suffer too.
