If you think I’m doing it just because I feel the need to s**t on Android, then you’re greatly mistaken. And so many vendors quickly stray back to old ways if people don’t. Motorola pulled that s**t until ppl complained again and then they committed to deliver more updates. Or how Xiaomi suddenly started to care with 12T and 3+1 updates. It’s because people like me complain on things that are factually bad. Not like endless s**tting on everything Apple just because people need to whine and bitch about it.

They give 3+1 for any other mid-range devices and 2+1 for budget devices (for example Galaxy A13). Do your homework correctly before calling someone liar.
As for Chinese brands, they give 3+1 for flagship (depending on the company or model of phone) and 2+1 for the other mid-range models. They give 1+1 for the cheapest models.
Next time, buy some Android phones and come speak to me about software updates on Android phones.

Sony, Asus, all chinese brands barely give ... moresamsung 3+2 (5) updates policy with iphone 5 year updates policy are pretty much the same. even though iphone 8 still got ios 16 but how many new features does iphone 8 receives? it mostly the same, mostly just security updates.
and its probably the last ios updates for iphone 8.
even my iphone 11 pro didnt receive face id unlock while using mask, so you see ios updates after 3 years are not 100% giving you full features, its only 3 years same like android (samsung).
yes apple was better in updates before and probably still better slightly but samsung are catching up.

AnonD-1066415, 10 Oct 2022What's the point in having the best software support i... moretrue. even my galaxy note 9 with android 10 is still good enough for normal usage nowadays. and it still receives security updates. luckily for samsung user, most of new features in android 11 12 13 already exist in samsung before. other than that it mostly just a matter of security and interface design. most guys just blabbering about this that about any new phones but are you really gonna buy it, if not then no need to complain.

Apple is the only brand giving full support for more than three years (iPhone 8, made in 2017, got iOS 16 this weekend after reviewed by our administrators). Even iPhone 6s from 2015 get high level support (not getting iOS 16, but still a lot in 15.X updates). No other company does that.

So, stop this BS about Android software support being extra bad. Is not as good as Apple's, true, but is definitely not as bad as you say.
Even 200EUR Android phones get 2 OS updates and 3 years of security updates nowadays. Go up the ladder and the software gets even better (with 3-4 years of OS updates). While is not as as good as Apple 5 years support, the phone doesn't cost an arm and a leg, like the iPhone. So, people should take this into consideration too, when comparing software support.
Also, you are basing your experience from Android phones from years ago. Try some nice 300-500EUR Android phones nowadays and you will be surprised. Of course, not all Android models deserve to be bought, but there are some that are far better than any iPhone (taking into consideration the prices).

Actually, I'm very happy that the 7 is "just" a refinement of the 6. As good as the 6 was, it had a lot of rough edges like power consumption (hopefully fixed with Samsung 4nm), flaky modem (hopefully fixed with 2nd gen Samsung modem) and the plastic camera bar causing internal reflections in the camera (hopefully fixed with metal camera bar).
Iterating and improving on features (faster tensor cores for AI and machine learning), and continual integration and improvement of Google software and AI services, is what Google needs to differentiate themselves, not just chasing AnTuTu or Geekbench numbers.

Google trying hard but all their phones sucks it is exactly same bad brand as One Plus heavily advertised but phone is not good
