Their hardware is industry leading due to their cool innovations. I actually love the fact that they have thicker bezels in order to have front facing speakers, I still remember how good the HTC One M8 sounded to me, that thing was nuts. And the 4K display is overkill and i admire that. The periscope telephoto that can shift between the zoom is the best thing rn imo, it should (and most probably would) be copied by others. But due to the software problems and the higher than average price, they just aren't justifiable for most normal people

Snapdragon 8 gen 2 (3.3Ghz not 3.5Ghz) vs A15:
GPU: SD 8 Gen2
Modem: SD 8 Gen2
ISP: SD 8 Gen2
AI: SD 8 Gen2
CPU: Both for now. (this new benchmark is the lowest config of 8 gen 2)
let me tell you something:
Geekbench SC scores depends on OS and how many apps you open. the lighter the OS, the Higher the score is. and it also loves apple silicon. alder lake CPU's was monster of SC performance. over 2000 score vs 1900 from M2 apple one year later. but when you test, speedometer 2.0, they can score just like M1 max with 1700 SC score. in cinebench, they score 1900 vs 1500 for best apple silicon. benchmark tools are different. real world performance is what that matters.
You remember the first released benchmarks of A16 bionic, dont you?
1800 in SC and 4600 in MC
but that was not the higher version, that was the lower version.
SD 8+ gen 1 was 1300 and 4400 at it's highest and 3900 at it's lowest.
MC scores can be different. we dont know the performance, when it goes to a gaming phone or a compact phone or regular phone. they all have different scores (500 scores difference).
SO just wait and see.

But what they do with 5K employees is pretty damn impressive regardless of whether you like their phones or not.
