Watch Apple doing it and suddenly it will be called a "revolution" and a "killer-feature".

    Glad to see people are not buying their shitty "flagships" that lack common stuff like the sd card slot and the 3.5mm jack.

    Not to mention that their foldables are in their 4th gen already and still have the same issues as the first gen

        JackDopey, 27 Dec 2022And I truly wish they don't. Sammy used to be GREAT. T... moreSamsung is still great my s22 ultra is so good even in December

        their foldables are the most practical thanks to their software

        The 3 year old camera hardware your talking about is still as good as the competition if u compare specsheets and computational prowess is up to date

        They are leading in software support

        There are not the best but are amongst the best

          They deserve it.

          If hope some people at Samsung are reading my comments; it seems they are clueless. Here are the top reasons they are losing more and more customers:

          - No change design-wise: S23 series is a carbon copy of S22 series, which looks already a lot like the S21 series. Why would people upgrade if the design is exactly the same ? It's not exciting.
          - Cutting costs everywhere: S22 series haptics and speakers are inferior to s21 series. Batteries are also smaller. Prices are higher. You don't see the problem ?
          - European people like me feel insulted for having exynos but still paying the same price as other countries for an inferior devices. Facts.
          - Camera is the #1 criteria for people. Unfortunately, while other competitors are releasing devices with crazy specs for cameras, only the s22ultra got the fun, for 3 years in a row ! S22 and 22+ are basic in terms of photography, while Oppo, Vivo, and even Xiaomi are better performers.
          - While Apple is clever and doing PRO devices with a 6,1 screens for people who don't like giant devices, Samsung is stubborn and if we want a top device with all the new features, we don't have the choice, we have to buy the s22 ultra which is way too big and too wide for normal hands. Not everyone want such big devices !
          - No improvement in speed charging. Only Google, Apple and Samsung aren't radically improving their technology so I guess they are already at what they consider the best in terms of ratio efficiency / safety. If this is the case, they should communicate on this because everyone is wondering while China flagships are using 200w but Samsung can't.

          Finally, I just want to point someting. Samsung loves to follow and copy Apple. and that's ok, they are good. We can criticize Apple because for the base iphone, since the 12, they are not improving a lot. But do they downgrade ? absolutely not:
          - The screen is as good, or better than the previous year;
          - The chipset is as good, or better than the previous year;
          - The speakers are as good, or better than the previous year;
          - The haptics are as good, or better than the previous year...

          There is only ONE brand the dares to downgrade parts of our phones, but still makes you pay more: Samsung.
          They deserve these figures.

            If no Snapdragon,no fast charging,no charger included in the box,how Samsung can survive the competition?For me these 3 conditions are mandatory,essentials!No point to wait 2 hours,daily for a flagship to charge your phone!Why should I pay more,buying a charger again?Buying a case,a screen protector when all Chinese phones comes already with these into the boxes!And now judging the S22 Ultra that was a totally failure for me,Exynox,bad software optimization,heating issues...how Samsung can sell their expensive phones?

                People can't buy iPhone pro models as much as they want because stores and Apple doesn't have them available.

                  Rotciv Ikias, 27 Dec 2022Samsung is not going anywhere anytime soon Every year is... moreAnd I truly wish they don't. Sammy used to be GREAT. They just need to listen to us lowly end consumers and get back on track. It's really too much with that ancient charging tech and lackluster ancient 3 year old cameras, also the form factor for the Vanilla's has really gotten boring. They should bring back curved screens for people who used to buy Sammys for that very reason. Not everybody wants iPhone bodies running Android.

                    These phones just aren't attractive enough for the money they ask. The S22 and S22 Plus are already expensive and just meh camera, performance and battery-wise, then you have the S22 Ultra which is kinda nice but costs an arm. Bad value proposition from Samsung.
                    I got myself a Pixel 6A for 200€ and I probably wouldn't trade it for a S22 if I had the opportunity.

                              Probably because of the startup price, that falls almost 30% over 2-4 months.

                                    Samsung have really lost the plot.
                                    1) Trying to emulate and 1:1 copy Apple worked only for so long.
                                    1A) Keeping the same flat edge/screen design forever.
                                    1B) Not giving chargers in the box.
                                    1C) Using the same cameras for 3 generations straight.
                                    2) Not improving their charging speeds.
                                    3) Ruining the Note series by merging it with the Ultra.
                                    4) Forcing people to go for the Ultra compared to the Vanilla S's, by keeping the vanilla S's completely featureless.
                                    5) So much of default Samsung borderline bloatware, their unneeded AR etc. Knox and Pay are all that is needed.
                                    6) The Exynos debacle.
                                    There's so much to ramble on & on about Sammy but alas, they're a Goliath and will probably not change AT ALL and end a painful (for us enthusiasts to see) demise.

                                      Demon Slayer, 27 Dec 2022I mean is anyone buying foldables unironically? $2100 for a... morei have a fold 4 and Ive been a fold user since the fold 2. My brother saw it and is also now a fold4 user. What i do is swap the old for a newer model so you get the new one (with all freebies) the last one I got for about $1100.

                                      A few friends have flips.

                                      For me its not a gimmick and Fold has been the best form factor. Best for reading, best for media and gaming. The size is also way useful for note taking and quick sketching. My colleagues were at awe when i used it the first time as my sketchpad during a meeting.

                                      Yes, i have a few qualms about it too, including its durability, but the usefulness still beats the cons.
