Anonymous, 22 Jan 2023Not saying a phone will be useless after 2 years but it won... moreI see people saying this alot about Android phones, but I have literally never once had this problem. All of my phones operate as fast as the day I bought them and often faster if I am able to continue to upgrade the software. I have about 130 apps installed on my phones, but I only play a few games: League of Legends: Wild Rift, Arena of Valor and Apex Legends Mobile. I don't understand what I'm doing differently that's making my phones hold up over time or if maybe a bit of psychology is at play. But yes, I agree that over time the novelty of your devices wear off. Personally I feel like my Mi 8 SE would be fine for daily use if necessary and it has a Snapdragon 710.

IpsDisplay, 22 Jan 2023Something isnt adding up here.. Samsung's galaxy note ... moreThe gimmik is the issue, and the Enviromental blow. Battery resitance is more important then battery crazy fast charging. Yeah in 15 min is full, got heated and with every charge will be less good, some may claim that the phone works even after 2 years, but do they really? Does the battery really hold on it's charge for two days? Is the phone still reliable? The battery to be able to turn on a phone and to actually last for 2 days on one charge, is a difference. What is the point of charging fast if the battery is depleted in a matter of hours? I rather charge the phone 30 minutes to 50% and know that this charge will take me throughout the whole day and half of the next day, without a problem, rather then charge it full in 15 Minutes and know it will last for 10 Hours tops. And that is the gimmik of it. Instead of improving batteries and software, to lessen charging cycles from once a day to once a week, they did nothing but incresed the charging power, and split the battery to not be destroyed from the first 150 charging cycles. If one thinks that's tech, well, apparently that person can't live without her/his device for an hour or two, signs of really bad habits... so, this so called tech companies, instead of improving battery life, they destroy it and with it destroy the enviroment by producing more devices, more batteries, more heat, more consumption. That's the problem.

I'm fine with my 15W charger. It takes around 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours to fully charge a phone, but my battery lasts a couple of days, so I never find myself in a situation where my charge is not enough to last till I find a charger. And if I think I may run into this kind of situation, I just take my powerbank (or charger) with me. So having a 100% charge at all times is not so important, long lasting battery is far more important, IMO.
Besides, doesn't super fast charge degrade the battery faster?

Im used to waiting an hour to fully charge. If the battery is gigantic then its cool.

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2023Bro you do not still understand.
Go watch video of thes... moreMan wrong.
To damage the battery temperature must been a lot higher than 40 or 50 celsius at least 70.
Every new charging brick is thick like building brick or grizzle if you like and it have so many safe protocols shieldguards etc to protect your battery there is litterary no danger.
Even for phones at place of charging ports there is at least 45-50 different charging protocols safeguard mechanisms and amny else to keep your battery safe.
Whathewer you thinks your decision goes wrong.
Last past 5 years only apple famous battery gate, Iphone Xs Max and Samsung Note 7 there werent any single phone with battery problem or charging issues.
And those said brands have zero clue about fast chargers they are worring so much they rather does not include a cgarger into the box so a customer usualy gets random ifferior charger which even does not charge properly as would original genuine charger do.

Battery i... moreYes, because the Sony Z series was sooo popular. That's why Sony is the number one phone seller everywhere in the world. Wait.. no they aren't.
Now I'm not saying that if they were to be more popular, we would see them blow up, I don't think so, but it's not a fair comparison since they are so rare.

Should be: unscrew the screws, remove the cover, replace the battery, close the cover, tighten the screws.

If you are willing to change your phone or battery every year or two or simply don't care, use fast charging. If you really care about the battery life, use slow charge.
PS I'm using a 65W USB-C laptop charger for my phone if I only want to charge it. Almost same price, looooonger cable 😉
Wireless charging is not that good.
Wireless headphones should be banned 😆 Headphones that need charging hahahaha Cracks me up every time

Battery is metal outside, metal changes sizes as temperature changes.
There was no proper space for this.
Nothing to do with charging speed.
How many sony z series explosions have you seen? Zero.
Z2 to z5 all had 18W support.
