People don't install old apps "accidentally" there's like 3 steps to enable an app to install apk files as permission. How can it be a "accident"?
Google just wants more control over Android. Is a damn shame really.

Google Play is basically unusable too , a master cleanup needed and secure privacy apps should be declared as safe

So android is basically going to become iOS meaning there will be no point in android anymore. No headphone jack, no micro SD, no chargers in box and now no sideloaded apps.

So someone like me who uses older versions of pretty much every app because the new versions removed some features is pretty much screwed
Guess i'm gonna be staying on android 13 for as long as i can
Might as well move to ios since after Android 14 there won't be much of a difference

am i the only one who really likes this move? it forces app developers to update their app code to the latest and more secure one. it didnt say you can sideload anymore, just the really old ones, im guessing from android 7 and below when android still had a less secure permissions
