What about Google and Meta spying on their users, and what about their monopoly acts which even EU doesn't like.. are these called "civilized" actions?
As long as this hurts me and my wallet as a consumer I'm against it and will always be against monopolistic companies/countries.
I don't care about politics and all the lies in the media I don't care if I buy American, Chinese, Russian, or even north Korean or Iranian technology.. as long as my wallet can handle it, I'll be happy (that's the reason why I buy Chinese products).

SuuperBaka, 31 Jan 2023Might as well hit them all. If anything though, I feel like... moreXiaomi was accused by US Government with blacklist because of "spying". They claimed it was false reason because they didn't ever "spy" on US Army's technology, later Xiaomi was whitelisted after dispute.
funny thing, Xiaomi pretend not to "spy" across Europe.
I'm using realme, disabled all of permission about locations, contacts, and calls. So they can't tracking my phone

potato4k, 31 Jan 2023This means that Huawei is so good that the US is afraid. Me... moreHuawei didn't relied directly on US firm as Xiaomi or BBK. Except for GMS, they had everything made in-house (networking solutions primarily). That's why US went after Taiwanese and Dutch to restrict their business to Huawei.
Not to mention, the sheer quality of hardware, be it world's first 5nm SoC or revolutionary camera system. It even surpassed Samsung globally, which no one has been able to replicate ever since.

SuuperBaka, 31 Jan 2023Might as well hit them all. If anything though, I feel like... moreIt is going to be increasingly difficult for the Biden administration to justify not allowing Qualcomm to sell chips to Huawei while allowing them to sell to most other Chinese OEMs.
Their claim (completely unproven) is that the Chinese government has influence over Huawei. Do they really believe the Chinese government doesn't have influence over All Chinese companies?
In exactly the same way that the US government has influence over US companies. Let's set operation Shotgiant aside just for a moment. AT&T was literally pressured into pulling out from a massive Huawei deal for the US in 2017.
Geopolitical problem? There's an executive order for that!

This means that Huawei is so good that the US is afraid. Meanwhile, nobody cares about Xiaomi and BBK, meaning they’re not really threatening anyone tech wise.

I don't even like China, but this statement is so stupid.

Good. As China doesn’t want to act according to the rules agreed by the civilised world, they must taste their own medicine. Chinese industrial espionage is on another level.

Anonymous, 31 Jan 2023Haha. Yeah, dump the most stable currency on the planet. ... moreIt is well worth remembering that the influence of the dollar on non-US nations has been in steady decline for around 30 years and since the US began weaponising technology, many countries have accelerated their efforts to wean themselves off of dollar reserves and into a far better mix of reserve currencies.

The kids on this site are getting emotional over this. The only reason they are upset is because China is a black hole when it comes to transparency. The kids on this site know squat about China’s practices.

Hey, genius. Remind us again how much of China’s foreign exchange reserves are in USD.
You kids are always emotional.
