rizki1, 30 Aug 2023Cost €700 if they want to sell to other continents will be €1000.If you the item in your cart, you'll see that the €700 includes VAT, so it'll pendant probably be around 650-700 for both USD (pre-tax) and GBP (after their VAT). On the other hand, since they don't even have a band list yet, I have no expectations that this phone will come to America any time soon.

Every fe... moreThis isn't modular, like the Moto Z series phones were, you aren't adding anything with the modules, the phone itself is made out of modules, that can easily be replaced, if needed. It's just a regular phone, with the best possible repairability.

Like the other commenter said, ridiculous for a "sustainable" brand to be selling a device without 3.5mm jack just to push some generic TWS on their website.
I feel Fairphone is more of a money laundering business than a proper phone company.

Wanna give 5 android versions? Then give 5 in sequence,not every 2 or 3 years.
Pointless to give android 14 when other phones are running android 15 or 16.
S23 is already slower than other phones with lower clocked 8g2 .
Imagine s23 with android 17.
Gonna feel like Gran Prime.
Pointless.
I'd rather have android 14 only but fast phone than slow phone at android 16 or 17.

They'll probably make it for at least half of that, and even if they don't make it to 10 years, realistically, nobody keeps a phone for that long these days, so there's nothing to worry about.

1) of course Samsung, the biggest manufacturer of phone OKED screens, will say phone OLEDs are better. They said the opposite on the TV side where they repeatedly claimed their QLED TVs do t suffer from burn in like LG OLEDs
2) this source is a joke. They have no facts to support their claim and say that „One of the biggest improvements of OLED TVs is the higher brightness level compared to the LEDs“ envelope though it is common knowledge that this is the biggest disadvantage of OLED TVs picture.(along with white subpixel dilution and pink tint an angle on LGs OLED evo panels)
