My phone is a two years old midranger. Samsung A52 with 8GB ram and 256GB storage. Chipset is Snapdragon 720G. Has 6.5 inch full HD plus screen with 90HZ rate. Can record 4K video. Battery is 4500 MAH. Not bad phone. Not rocket fast but not that slow. Planning to buy Samsung flagship soon.

I am using IQOO Z7, it is almost 5 months old. Previously, I use realme GT Master, I used it for 11 months before change to other phone / buy new phone.
Well, if I am asked for the last question, I think I will use up to 2 years or 3 years before change other phone. Sometimes, use smartphone too long is not good. Beside the spare part maybe is no more again, the software update also will receive end of support.

Anonymous, 29 Oct 2023Man they really need to bring the sub 6 inch phones again. ... morePpl are now switching to compact size phones. Big size screen era is now declining. Companies need to think again now.
I switched to Sony Xperia xz2 compact and fully satisfied.

Currently rocking a Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G. Decent, quite balanced, but honestly I'd like to have something with Snapdragon due to more widespread custom ROM support. Sometimes MIUI gets on my nerves. So I'm looking forward to Redmi Note 13 Pro next year. If the reviews are good, I'll sell this and get that.
Before I had the Redmi Note 10 Pro which honestly I would have used for at least another year, but mom needed a replacement on her ancient Huawei so I gave her that and "upgraded"... More like sidegraded, to be fair.
If it was easier to get in my country, and I saved the money, I think I would main an Asus Zenfone 9 or 10, and keep that for years, as long as it would last me. I've discovered I'm not a fan of big phones, specially if they're heavy.

Using Sony Xz2 compact 2018 model. I bought it in 2023 because of its compact size and flagship features.
Great device.

Anonymous, 29 Oct 2023Small phones do not sell well, because of their small batte... moreNot necessarily true. The big draws on power are screen and chipsets. Chipsets are more power efficient than ever and screens if they are oled have got a bit better. A small phone would have a smaller screen but potentially less space for a battery. However you are getting bigger capacity batteries in the same side but gains are wiped out by processor intensive tasks, like games, apps that forever keep a getting bigger, chrome flooded with ads sucking up power and 6+inch screens do the rest.

I don't want to change my phone for at least 5 years since I always buy Flagship ones with top variant. Now a days changing Mobiles frequently is not vogue, besides, spending almost the cost of laptops, demanding to be used for 8 years to recover cost. Also, some sentimental attachments/value getting developed when you use it longer. Though I really can buy new mobiles, I am more attached to my current set of mobiles sentimentally. I may even keep it with me as long as it lasts.

currently using Iphone 7 since 2018, battery life isn't the best (haven't replaced OG battery since its at 81% cap) but camera except for night time photography is still very capable in 2023 and so is performance, will wait for iPhone 16 or 17 when apple actually focuses on thermal throttling issues.

My current phones are iPhone 11 & Realme 7 Pro. You do the calculation. But, my previous phone before this is iPhone 6 & Redmi Note 5 Pro. My iPhone 6 screen broken and Redmi Note 5 Pro, had a lot of hardware issues (fixed it few times). So, my next phones? I'll probably buy a flip dumb phone & iPhone 20?? No more Android phone as Android phone has short OS support life. If I want to use Android, I'll just get 8 inch Android tablet for my media consumption. Who knows? 🤷🏻♂️
