I have Galaxy S23 Ultra. Only S10 Plus I used for 3 years. That was perfect smartphone. Then 5G technologies arrived and I had to change my phone. I purchased S22 Ultra followed by S23 Ultra.

My current phone is the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, which I've used for just over a year and a half.
My last phone was the Honor 9 Lite, which I used from December 2019 to April 2022.

NICKL4US, 29 Oct 2023Same here. 4 yrs with oneplus 7t ...now i want to switch as... moreMaybe try custom rom. They're supossedly more optimized (especially for older phones) and more security updates.
I've been using the custom rom on my 9 Pro and I must say despite the problems (mostly hardware related), it's way better than the stock OOS.

My last phone was not great. It was a Moto E (2020), with 32GB eMMC and 2GB RAM. Android lagged quite a lot on it, especially right after enabling Internet after it being disabled for a while. It struggled hard to run YouTube and flat out can't run Tinder at all (which also goes to show how incredibly bloated that app is for what it does).
Now I have a Moto G Stylus 5G (2022), which I hope will last until 2027. I have a feeling its greatest weakness will be the SD695 SoC, which will struggle against the extreme bloat of future software.

I'm still using my trusted Note 8.
Even though it can not play modern games anymore, it's working fine. Even the battery still provides my around 4-5 hours of screen-on time.

I use android and I've never changed my phone before 3 years. I don't need to change it unless I have a problem with it. I generally buy the newest flagship to use it as long as possible. long sw support is also good for buying an old flagship, if you are tight in budget. it will be smarter to prefer an old flagship over the newest mid-ranger.

before, I changed the phone every year, but I bought a resealed flagship with snapdragon 888 processor, and I will keep this one as long as I receive support, probably 2025.
it provides enough performance for my needs.

S10e from Black Friday 2019, still works great and I still haven't seen a worthwhile upgrade. I was going to consider the Zenfone 10 until I saw that it doesn't support Verizon. At this rate, my next phone will likely be an S23 or S24.

Been using the still powerful S20 FE for 3 years now. It's still super fast with excellent camera and zooming except battery life which needs to be charged twice daily.
I use only emulators to play games mainly ppsspp and Dolphin and it's good enough for most games.
I'll probably upgrade to play 3DS games which lag a little on it.
I'll wait 2024 and see if they actually find a way to hide the front camera.

More than 5 years, it's from 2017 with snapdragon 835. I don't do gaming in a phone, screens are too small, even 6.8" hurts your eyes. Proper gaming should be done at home in a big screen like a tv or pc monitor.
Use my phone to do calls, sms, social networks, send pics, emails and that kind of stuff. So it's more than enough. Custom rom pixel experience, super smooth, fast and secure with October security patches. Changed the battery myself 2 months ago, 100% health. Photos? i have a dedicated camera.

My current phone is the LG G8X. It has everything I need - great photo and video, perfect sound and very good display. And it's rugged with military standard. The negative is it got stuck on Android 9.0. This phone is still among the best in this category.
