Anonymous, 15 Jan 2024The problem with lengthy software updates is that no phone ... morebut you aren't going to use this s24 for that long.. right? at least it's there for 7 years than we got nothing (currently 4years on s23 series and selected mid-range), so this is basically a great news and the price will remain stable when you sell or trade it in the next 4-5 years for example. battery life is also depends on how user using this phone, it's not like everyday you set on superfast charging and leave it fully charge 100% (without a protection-limit settings) for too long

Even the Galaxy S5 & Note 4 still have plenty of app support for its age (the phone itself & the OS age). Considering that phone are now 1 decade old. But with 2GB of RAM, the performance on the Galaxy S5 is slow

Minu, 15 Jan 2024I use a flagship from 2017, and I don't miss anything ... moreAgreed, modern technology is crap. I miss older phones. Phones are honestly so terrible nowadays.

Better buy second hand units of Samsung brand period. Do not buy brand new for it hurts your piggy, take it from me for I bought a brand new one for almost 100k and now Its market value down to 35k. Now you buy a brand new z fold 5 and just now the news come out for the coming of z fold 6 , 😱😭 really Samsung? Think twice and be wise.

SONY always priority the hardware quality especially the pcb quality, cable interconnection, internal pcb placement and Display quality this make their electronic i.s.o . standard uncomparable by other brand . Yesthey have flawed but the Sony very expensive price because high engineering effort put in .Their design look such a excellent craftmanship .

Galaxy S9 doesnt have the software nor hardwar to keep using in 2024.

Its SoC is old and bad(Exynos),it only has 4gb of ram and its battery even new is not great due to small capacity and high res screen.
Its also stuck on Android 10.....

This is the exact opposite compared to a current flagship like S24Ultra.

Of course, not all phones, the average consumer will get lost in so many tech details about a component or another. But at least 1-2 models from each manufacturer each year could have this possibility (of changing the battery, or cameras, or display if necessary, without going to services).
