Plastic?

No really, it is more flexible and durable, and for the people that slap a case on their way too expensive phone (because it is fragile due to all the unnecessarily expensive materials) it will feel the same anyhow.

But as for the poll, because plastic is not a option ( boo ), aluminium is luxurious and sturdy enough, the other two don't add anything but stupid PR and extra cost to the device.

But get completely silent about the damage caused and what it taxes to extract metals like aluminium from the earth...

                Extracting metals are good either

Anyone who says plastic is a midwit. It's brittle, worse at conducting meat, and more plastic doesn't help the environment.

                    Full aluminum as before

I never understood why we moved away from plastic. I loved how light and durable my Nexus 5 was.

I couldn't care less. A metal phone can feel cheap and a polycarbonate phone can feel premium. Just compare the real Nokia phones of old and the garbage made by HMD.
The Nokia L930 in polycarbonate still feels more premium and better finished than the metal phones HMD did.

As for me, I care more about the FEATURES of the phone, not the materials. The material only plays a role in my decision if it interferes with features (for example, I won't buy all metal phones as they normally lack wireless charging).

                          None of those. Plastic.

Sony used to use unique streak less glimmering alloy called ALKALEIDO alloy, made from aluminum, it's nice, but not used since Sony xz1 era, no other manufacturers used it.

potato4k, 11 Feb 2024Yup. The manufacturing process of plastic have improved a l... morethats why s21s selling number was so bad in history of samsung s series .
Plastic the reason it look like cheap phones.

Uranium bcs I want it to glow when there's UV light and I want to radiationmaxx myself.

The cheapest possible that works. I use a case anyway.

Magnesium is best. As titanium is bad conductor. Second best option would be aluminium alloy.

I don't really care what the frame is made of. But I do enjoy the ceramic back of my Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. I wonder if it's even possible to make a full ceramic phone, frame and all?

Reinforced Xentronium combined heavy armor and reinforced hull combined with damper field.
In classic 1995 game from Microsoft called Orion Master 2 was the best armor a space ship could get and made her almost unkillable. This is also a way to go.

Or from Elder scrolls game series a glass armor and weapons were best for light weight items and othervise dragon armor were most heavy and durable or deadric and ebony armor types.

Lastly if we come to the most durable and most lightweight its a spider silk.
This will also do. But this material type is no friend with flames, fire and heat.

But could be fun having something big as Huawei Mate 20 X which is 7.2 inch phone packed with 30k mAh cell but weighing less than 20 grams. Haha
