8s gen 3 sounds so cool but weaker than it's flagship predecessor is disappointing
Also "flagship killers" won't be same anymore

For me it's enough.

            another marketing mania to discriminate anything doesn't mount "Snapdragon G3". Hey, it's shit regardless any other thing! Withouut Snapdragon not even the calculator app functions well. Stop reading ther review....

              Weird s naming aside (it's just an 8- Gen 3), this is gonna be a great chipset for powerful competitively priced phones with great battery lives.

                Somehow many here think that trading 8 series for example 7 series or Mediarek 8xxx would make phone be $300-400 cheaper when SoC does not cost any near this.

                I bet this 8sg3 is still way above $120. 8g3 must be near 200, since 8g2 was $160.

                  So midranger gonna be killer of the flagship killer? And lowend will be a killer of the killer of the flagship killer

For most o... moreIn that case, why even bother calling it an 8-series Snapdragon if it cannot live up to its name of having the best possible performance among most other commercially available SoCs? I'd understand if this was a 6- or 7-series instead, but an 8-series must have the best-of-the-best performance among all others.

                      well, samsung's galaxy S24 FE has this SoC. the SD 8s Gen 3 instead of gen 2 for galaxy. wonder why.. maybe the NPU of the 8s Gen 3

                          I wonder how the different core arrangements will affect the overall performance between the 8 Gen 3 and 8s Gen 3. They are both pretty much identical, except for no 8K support for 8s Gen 3 and different types of GPU and internal 5G modems. It also makes me wonder about the price difference between the two SoCs.

                              To those that dont get it.

                              Upcoming 7+g3 is based on 8sg3, not 8g3.
                              It has same setup , with lower frequency.

                                  Xiaomi (Civi 4 pro), Motorola (X50 model. Not sure of the name) and Iqoo z9 turbo already announced they are coming very soon with this chipset shortly after the launch. April for the z9 turbo. March or April for the other two

                                    come on google mount this soc at least on the pixel 9 pro

And still, this GPU can offer max details on every game. Why always complain? For some people nothing is good. I cant understand that. Its more like poor comment by u.
