    They have a China-exclusive entry model called samurai 14 which is ODM product. It is essentially Clevo NV4xMB model.

    They could get barebone from Clevo and plug the battery, SSD and other peripherals, that is still assembly.

    I believe higher-end models from VAIO are pure OEM products by themselves because they are really unique.

    The camera company owned by JIP is Olympus, after that big financial scandal. Essentially JIP is an equity firm specialized in handling bankruptcy and restructuring...

      S10 got double of that and still cant runj for example Diablo immortal or Genshin Impact properly.
      And a 5 years old phone even still supported for app updates will take some time to run even most basic apps while something like A15 now can be equal on benchmark numbers to a CPU used in S10 aftr this long time.

        Japan Industrial Partners is a huge company. They own now Toshiba as well, and even a camera brand( I don't remember exactly which one, my point is they are a serious company).

          Also flagship devices released 5 years ago are fine for most users unless they want the best cameras, gaming performance for latest mobile games or something specific.

And another thing I learnt recently is that even Singapore makes smart phones( for their home country), I admit this was new, even to me.
            I wish Sharp good luck, they are a legend, it would be sad if they will end up like LG...

I've heard their business products and services are really good though. Still can't believe Sony messed the Walkman up so bad, DAPs could've been such a huge thing, especially if they ran android.

                  Too late Sony, I'm afraid. A lot of their customers who didn't want to deal with the TV remotes already went to Samsung with much better software support and will not be willing to return.

                              Sony didn't probably work enough to make apps work better on its phones.

                                If the new aspect ratio will be any narrower than Samsungs screen - I'm interested. 4K drop was needed long time ago. Sony, you have my attention now.

                                      I still remember when they replaced it few years ago with that generic music player and it was just shock how they messed it up.
                                      You would though that, its just name they removed... nope, they really gutted that app and make it worst.
                                      And weirdly that started really bad trend for Sony(and when it was still SE) as they started to mess their prices, hardware and software more and more, and how it end up, I dont need to say, as right now Sony devices are... well... not best sellers and known mostly of being overpriced medicority :]
