            After expanding the EV battery business with GM, now trying to acquire Nokia, and possibly following Xiaomi, collaborating with Hyundai to make EVs, reminiscent of when they expanded into the electronics and home appliances business, indicating saturation in their smartphones business. Brand without brand.

These would continue even if MN was split off (which is rumor only). NI has the hugely successful portfolio of Service Routers which are displacing Juniper and Cisco Service Provider routers globally, as just one of their products.

                So no, they won't just be left with Intellectual Property portfolio. I get this info with a few basic Google searches.
