Samsung may cancel the Galaxy S26

01 October 2024
2026 could be a wild year for the Korean company.

Thus, it would be logical to rename the S26+ to the S26. That would be their new base. Then, what, though? Have a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Ultra to keep three devices in the line-up? Or, will two be sufficient? It's too early to tell, but I'm just brainstorming, anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

Don't need new phone every year

Not Again, 02 Oct 2024The only thing he's got is that he has an account on X... moreIce is definitely biased towards Chinese brands. He bashes Samsung at every chance except in January/February when the new phones (and affiliate links) come out.

The unfortunate part is that GSMA heavily relies on his posts for news

They are better off just cancelling the whole galaxy brand. All major smartphone manufacturers used Apples blueprint with the same design since the original iphone. A slate form factor cameras on the back and large screen on the front. Apple design is so good that there has been no major change since 2007

What most people don't realize is that it's not the size of the phone but weight of the phone that makes them bulky .

They should have done that that with s23 .. whatever bring back s tab mini

[deleted post]And why make Samsung follow the Pixel 6-8 way?

raditz594, 02 Oct 2024The plus model is redundant. Keep the S26 and cancel the S26+Yes.

                    One Ultra device

                    Two different sizes.

                    Simple

                    Skip the "plus"

Still waiting on an S Ultra "mini"

The only thing he's got is that he has an account on X, nothing else.
The only thing he does promotes is FAKE NEWS and to support every ridiculous claim are his proof, Fake bench marks fake mock up and this https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s25_ultra_case_shown_off_on_video_with_rounded_corners-news-64735.php
Look "proof that the S25 has rounded edges is this fake case, what no box?"

So base on the X8 soon to be released his prediction for the 2026 S26 which is 16 months
                        is based on that.

If Oppo cancels the X find 8 we have a Galaxy S26, what do you think next Sundays poll should be?

He writes "Chinese brands are much better at making small-sized mobile phones than Samsung and Apple." lick the source

Nonsense words without a cohesive or rational thread.
If you want Snake oil you know where to dig your well

Now you guys know why Samsung is creeping up the price of the FE model. I actually predicted this, and I thought they would get rid the regular S model right away with the S25. Looks like it's going to be with the S26.

Unfortunate as Samsung is the only one left doing flagship compact that is widely available worldwide.

I don't think this will happen, competitive or not majority will still buy an iPhone or a Galaxy. Not all, but exisiting Apple and Samsung users especially the average one are already satisfied to their phone since they chose to buy the base model than the plus or fancier ultra.

I use the smaller model, i hate the big ones.

It could be that it will start from S30?

justasmile, 02 Oct 2024Nice face reveal>insert "how bro felt after saying it" meme

Vanilla S sells in Holland 3x better then the + version.
This probably is not much different in the rest of EU.

No i'd much more happy to see the + be replaced by a new S PRO version: 200MP main camera, obviously without periscope cam, but with the new 50MP 3x zoom AND the 50MP ultrawide AF.
Further on 6,4" 1080p screen as it has to be at some distance to ULTRA.

New guy, 02 Oct 2024Fr, I've been using my S22 for over two years now and ... moreExactly. Most brands offer the premium camera in a smaller form factor and lower price (even Apple always offered premium cam in base model).

I would be fine though if they keep the vanilla S in a more budget area with its 50MP main, but at least offer an S26 PRO with not to big screen and the 200MP cam (or whatever is their premium camera) for about the price of the + version. And yes the regular + can be cancelled in this case.
