There is no big loss for us customers because Samsung devices are much too expensive compared to the competition and in many aspects they lag behind.
Nowadays every phone in the price range of 700/1000 EUR takes very similar photos so the argument of a good camera is pointless and in other aspects Samsung tries to defend itself with IA but many of us just don't care and the rest of the missing applications from the Samsung ecosystem can be easily replaced.

So unless they're reintroducing the A5 series in North America they'll have abandoned everything between $200 and $1000 in that market.
