I would be fine though if they keep the vanilla S in a more budget area with its 50MP main, but at least offer an S26 PRO with not to big screen and the 200MP cam (or whatever is their premium camera) for about the price of the + version. And yes the regular + can be cancelled in this case.

    Vanilla S sells in Holland 3x better then the + version.
    This probably is not much different in the rest of EU.

    No i'd much more appy to see the + be replaced by a new S PRO version: 200MP main camera, obviously without periscope cam, but with the new 50MP 3x zoom AND the 50MP ultrawide AF.
    Further on 6,4" fhd screen as it has to be at some distance to ULTRA.

      Here's better strategy for Samsung.

      S26 FE (without periscope & flagship chip) 6.5"

      A76 6.5"
      A56 6.3"

      Galaxy S26 becomes Pro camera with periscope telephoto a-la the Pixel 9 Pro & iPhone 16 Pro. 6.2" display & 70mm width. This will pair perfectly with Ultra.

      X out Galaxy S26+ it is useless without the Pro features. Rather bring out the A76 in 6.5" range.

      Make A56 smaller in 6.3" range. So many people are asking small affordable phones!!!!! Who needs bigger buys A76.

                    I'd love to see some small under 160g devices again. I've gone back to using an ooooold device from 2018 just because I got fed up of my existing device that weighs so much.

Also image processing is better in alot of situations and definitely better video processing on the 2400.. yeah terrible right.

                                FE series started with the Note 7 deabacle and now it should end for good.

                                    The base S2X always had a good weight and size, for really good performance. This would be a wrong move.

                                    Rather they should merge base S2X and S2X FE in one phone: cheap and lightweight and small, all in one.

I'm not even considering the S25 because Samsung has treated the vanilla S series as garbage lately, saving all the best features for the Ultra which is just too big of a phone for me. So I'm thinking about getting a 16 pro instead as it is still relatively compact while having all the other features of the 16 pro max.

                                        So calling a flagship something with entry level specs means you need to swap your dealer.
