PanRT, 17 Feb 2025Now, Xiaomi 15 Ultra need more OS update 6 year..Bro a 1500 eur phone no matter the brand needs 6 years of warranty at first place and then 6 years of updates.
For what you need 4-6, 10 even 1000 years of updates if your phone can die after a year of use when your warranty goes off (no matter the brand samsung, oppo, vivo, xiaomi ,realme, apple etc all phones can unforturtunate have bad luck and dies and the repair will cost price equal to new phone all people rather will buy new phone with new warranty and latest specs and OS than fix old device)

redmi usually sells more of the 4G variant than the 5G one. some 3rd world countries where they are selling still has limited 5g connection, thats why theyre supporting the 4G variant

PanRT, 17 Feb 20253 year OS :DLike who cares you have only one year of warranty no matter the phone or brand EU citizens two years.
If your warranty goes off and your phone breaks 99% of people rather spend money on new phone than fix old one for price f new device.

Belsa, 17 Feb 2025I honestly wouldn't recommend Xiaomi products, they ar... moreBro had Xiaomi Mi 11 lite 5G for 2 years now a good friend of mine have it for another 2 years phone working no issues.
You had your problems with your phone nooone else had same issues many people are particular happy.
In world lives almost 10 billions people anyone of them had some issues with some brands and noone will says its bad just because you are one of 10 billions having issues with same brand.
If other 10 billions tells you that phone is bad dont buy it will you have no phone at all or???

Since no phone no matter the cost gets years of warranty equal to years of updates 2 years is more than enough.
Anyway the moment your warranty goes off and your device no matter the brand or type gets bronken anyione rather buy new phone than fix old phonefor 50-100% of price of new device.

Pretty sure, it's because these 4g phones are garbage and are not selling. They want to attract the consumers another way. Otherwise it makes more sense to have more updates for the 5g models as those have powerful processors and able to handle major updates better. And also, they could have publicized this info at launch, if this is what they decided beforehand. They decided it now because they want to sell this garbage somehow.

And the most expensive model the note 14 pro+ will get 3 years OS updates so it gets lower support than the cheapest model 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Is this to boost the sales of the 4g phone since 5g will be preferred by many? Not bad .

Highly doubt they could deliver this. Even of they can, it'll be unoptimized to the max. They were like "here's the update as promised, goodbye"

I'll guess the last RN14 update will have bootloop issues. Miui logo stuck after rebooting like it's predecessors.

Calling out Samsung not providing updates in time compared to Xiaomi releasing a device with not-the-latest Android OS is pure hypocrisy. Anyways, not buying any Xiaomi phone since I saw my friend's Poco and my cousin's Mi 9T having ads everywhere and system crashing frequently, such problematic brand.
