Congrats.. after failing to capture the market by storm MS thinks it can do it better after acquiring the company? Whom are they making fool of really dont know..

It took Android less than 2yrs to capture the market dominated by iOS while its more than now 3years where MS is still struggling for it.. lol

from last many years i was very loyal to nokia and owned many nokia's...yes now i admit Elop was never a well wisher of nokia and as i am indian but i will say europeans are dumb in front of americans and they proved it a company which was standing high and no one was even close to it are over..totally finished..feeling very pitty for last nokia Ceo Olli-Pekka but now from today onwards i would say its time to Switch...Android/Iphone...but certainly i hope god please cancel this deal...

I just can't digest it that Motorola sold for $12 billion but Nokia for only $7.2. This is just gross and it reflects that the path taken by the Nokia bosses was fully crap

brabhiza, 03 Sep 2013Rest in Peace Nokia is Dead forever!!!Yes homie dis is sad news considering de fact dat Nokia had choices earlier. Dey myt have bought Web OS, merged S60 with Meego & Maemo for a better OS, played double standards by making phones on both Windows Phone OS & Android lyk Samsung, LG & HTC or lastly, acquiring or merging with BlackBerry den dis planned plotting of a takeover wouldn't have happened. Now it's Microsoft owning Nokia, Google owning Motorola & Apple owning iDevices & other smaller software companies.
We can juz sit back& observe a tech giant being brought down by Americans again. But as long as der's competition den we consumers have more choice. He he I hope our own South African electronics company Ellis Electronics merges with Telkom Mobile 2 create another mobile phone company lol.

All the fools who supported Microsoft by buying Lumia Nokia Phones, congratulations, you were the only reason who destroyed Nokia.
If you hadn't bought Lumia, share holders must have kicked Elop out of Nokia.

Once Nokia s brand name is gone from its devices, microsoft can not even dream of getting successful with its OS.

I don't get MS strategy. They bought a mobile phone division that has been losing a lot of money for years. I guess MS will realize in a few years that this is too damn expensive and will shut this business down. Sad.

Good for Nokia, they sold a part of the company that wasn't profitable and made good money. Now they can (and have money) focus in other areas like networks and so on.
