Samsung halts One UI 7 rollout for Galaxy S24 series

The update has been pulled from Samsung's OTA servers after reports of several bugs.

Where are those people who were recently commenting, saying, "better late and stable than early and buggy"? Guess what? You got late and buggy both, and there's still devices that haven't got the update.

I've never been a fan of Samsung smartphones but I've never been a hater, so I'm not bashing them now. This is bad though, quite bad.

    What a mess. They'll lose a lot of custom over this. It's not good enough.

      Year 1 of Samsung's offer of 7 years of updates: delayed by half Android release cycle.
      It does not look well for the future.

      That said, I have OneUI7 and the improvements are nice, especially lock screen cards for thing I now don't need to unlock the whole phone for.

      I'm glad I'll stick around S24U for a while longer, we'll see if these are temporary release issues or not. But if not then I'll have no problem going for Pixel in two years.

          Samsung offers 7 years of OS updates, yet their update policy doesn't extend to older models like the Galaxy S24 series and earlier. If possible, avoid buying Samsung Galaxy phones. If you prefer an Android device, consider brands like Google Pixel, OnePlus, or Xiaomi—they have a better track record with timely updates.

And everything: watches, headphones, services... The only phone that resembles this is the Pixel, obviously. Google releases betas or stable versions of Android and they reach all compatible Pixels the same day or the next day without fail. The rest of us already know how they work.

                        Stop defending a huge conpany, you are right but this isn't my fault, it's not your fault either, and it's not any of the customers that are at fault here, it's Samsung themselves and only them.

                          Samsung is fumbling the ball SO hard this year. S25 series bringing little changes and now Samsung can't even get a OS rollout right. What a flipping joke. Google and Motorola sure looks appetizing right now.

Pulling the update immediately is unfortunate, but the best possible reaction to it.

                                  That's why I switched to other brand. Samsung sucks in software updated. 6 years of update is just a marketing. But the updates will just ruin your phone til you can't use it. My S21U is an example. Will not use samsung phone anymore.
