Weekly poll: is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge the right flagship for you?

This phone costs far more than I could possibly afford. But I think its nice to see Samsung innovating and bringing something new to their range. Even their AX6 series this year are much slimmer than 2024 across the board. I only hope they stop increasing their prices so much. I called off my upgrade for another year because they increased the new model's price by more than 25% in my region.

I answered no. Because it's so thin and thus very difficult to hold. Not to mention the reduced specs for its asking price. Maybe you're paying for the research that went into making this impractical phone that nobody asked for, except for social status seekers.

Look, as someone who actually cares about small flagships, my options are pretty damn limited. iPhone? Can't stand iOS. Pixel? Still too chunky and underpowered for what I want in a premium compact. So yes, Samsung's base S25 often becomes the default.
And don't paint me as some blind fanboy, I'll gladly mock Samsung for their inefficient bad Exynos chips, the S Pen we mentioned or when their phones literally exploded.
It's just that a thin and light large screen flagship is different and interesting, not like those old, boring, clunky things they keep releasing each year, like most other phone makers.

Samsung totally missed the opportunity to do something extremely good for their fans who want a compact and lightweight phone. They just had to put the new type of battery on the S25 and we would have had a fairly compact phone by modern standards, weighing about 125-130 grams and with better hardware than this beta test phone called Edge. And instead they released the same big sail, but 1mm thinner, but more expensive.

I don't care about Vivo, Samsung, or any other manufacturer what "scams" they do to get people to buy. I read, watch and think that I can't be fooled into paying 1300 euros for something that is just thin and nothing more.
I just find it funny how you talk about Samsung as if they are holy water compared to others, when in fact they are the same scammers.

It's better than S25+ except the battery a bi... moreTell me when your runs out battery before the end of a full day and you cant talk, text or pay for anything without your beautifully slim S25 Edge. LOL at least you can stare at how beautifully slim it is when it is dead especially after 1 yr battery deteriorates (when charging multiple times more than usual due to small batter ); maybe only 3500Mah battery left for the day🤣
Even though I am S24U fanboi this is a total junk, they should have a 6000Mah New silicon Carbon thinner battery and keep the same size or even slightly thicker.
But Samsung being Samsung thesedays are a joke, refused to listen to what buyers want. I have trouble defending them being a fanboi for 10+yrs; Not going to bother with upgrading my fone to s26U as they continue to have crap hardware; battery installed for an s26U ultra fone apparently will still have minor upgrade to only a 5500Mah in 2026 which is still the smallest battery for an Ultra fone even today; when Midrage Chinese fones already doing new Silicon Carbon battery with 6000Mah up to 10,000 Mah (e.g upcoming Realme, Oneplus 13R only a Small fone but with 6000Mah battery etc. etc).
S25Edge is a total fail without a large battery and without a 3x zoom camera.

kdss, 18 May 2025Yeah, Samsung does not have a large island for cameras like... moreYou conveniently forgot it's Samsung sensors giving your precious Vivo camera phone anything remotely special to show.
So, keep hating on Samsung camera design, I'll take it any day over that generic, cheap-looking "black washing machine" camera bump slapped on every Chinese phone, from their budget junk to their China-only "flagships" with some fake camera lenses.
Why don't you talk about faking extra camera lenses to make it look like their "flagship" has 4 cameras instead of 3?
S Pen features? It's pretty sad, yes everyone knows that, but I prefer phones that are actually compact and comfortable, not a bulky Ultra. And it's not like all Chinese flagships even have something like the S Pen, maybe it's just not that useful after all.
And no, I didn't "hide" the S25 good looking camera design with a skin. Skins go around the individual camera rings, so no dust and they don't cover them up. Maybe look at how phone skins actually work before making clueless comments.

Other than it's thinness, it doesn't really excel in anything. Subpar camera system for the price, ridiculous battery size, and very slow charging.
You'd be better of looking for another flagship that's a bit cheaper but with better specs.

The selfie camera on the S24 is excellent, but the primary camera is terrible. I have one at the moment, and colours and quality are worse than my Reno13 and Edge 50 Neo.
