Symbian OS hasn't been worked upon and developed further bcos of d crap u currently own "WP". Just only if nokia hadn't employed Elope the nokia killer from microsoft, symbian would've remained the best OS stil date. Every other platform gets improved when worked upon and same would have been for symbian with improved hardware specs. I don't need to tell how good I feel abt my old 701 incomparison with to my recent lumia 920. They're lots of things I still fall back to do in my 701 that my lumia 920 can't do, it only looks and feels fluid but all of it's speed are worthless when it can't satisfy basic needs. Waiting for my 701 to perform now suddenly feels good. WP is crap and full of B*S.

GSM Arena staff: But maybe, just maybe, it's about time you jumped ship.

Me: Oh yeah? Thanks for the advice GSMA. Suggest one decent alternative to Symbian OS, please?

                GSMAS: Windows Phone?
Me: No File manager, no USB OTG, no freedom, etc, etc...

                GSMAS: Android?
Me: No proper multitasking, virus & spyware risks, runs slow a lot, the best cameras are not on android, etc, etc...

GSMAS: iOS? Wait... we know... Closed system. no freedom. no file sending. No FM radio.

Me: So... you got anymore decent alternatives?

GSMAS: All right, we'll be careful in commenting from now on.

Me: Thanks guys. We expected you to be like this only...

'File manager' & 'Ability to install apps/games on SD card'. It might come in Windows 8.1 update in 2014 Q2. So stop bashing great Symbian OS.

After using WP for several months, I've touch again my friends nokia symbian belle. ITs horrible. Widgets are not as smooth as WP. And the virtual keyboards are very difficult to use. I think the reason why nokia drop symbian is that this OS is crap from the scratch. Don't support high spec hardware. My Opera mobile couldn't run because of insuffient ram. So User experience is not great in Symbian even it has a lots of features and customizations. Many uncertified apps are uploaded in different sites which makes me confused.

One of the first and best OS's in the mobile world. Sad that they never developed as a full pledged mobile OS!

If Symbian was given a chance, it would be going toe to toe with Android and iOS today. There was some rumors about Symbian Carla and Donna after Symbian Belle which sadly remained as a rumor. I'll use my Nokia 808 as long as it works alright and since it doesn't have a large user base as Android or iOS, it's currently the second best when it comes to security. Anyway, I knew this day will come sooner or later.. RIP Symbian and MeeGo..
