Symbian will never be dead. Nokia as a mobile phone manufacturer will never be dead. Both will remain in our hearts and also in our pockets/palms for everyday use.

There is no point at this moment to analyse what was good and was went wrong. Why didn't they do this instead of that. Everything that happen is history. Even yesterday is history for each and every one of us. Nokia did what it did, mistakes in a bigger or smaller ammount, it does not matter !!! Symbian is no more, Megoo is no more, factories in Europe are no more (all made in f**king China now), and Nokia as a mobile phone manufacturer is no more !!! These hurt...and hurt like hell....and this is why, we, those who were mad about Nokia, still are, will forever be like this.

Apps for symbian or custom firmware will come out from private developers, posted on private servers, and enjoyed by those who will become nostalgic about everything Nokia once was.

I will never understand the hate between people. Android vs iOS endless discussions, WP vs whatever OS you want....pointless and pointless time wasting stupid talk. Nowadays, everyone is app freak. There is an app for almost everything. Sometimes I wonder why the hell do we still need a brain. We have an app for any task we want. Let's let the app do it for us, whatever we need, cause we don't need to think anymore.

One of the greatest things Nokia did, during those times when apps were not so popular, was to connect people. We used our phones to talk, text, maybe some apps for our true dayly productivity and that was it !!! And after that we had the opportunity to CONNECT personally with our friends and familly, without any stupid social networks or apps which made us robots today, so that everyone is focused on all these gadgets/smartphones, that we forget to look around and enjoy real life with real people....connecting people.

I will miss the Great OS that used to be my companion in my everyday life. I switched to iOS but I will be keeping my E72 and N82 running. Farewell.

              It's just the beginning!

Watch out for the "trimming" coming to the wp devices!!

By the way, it's no longer Nokia (look for that in Jolla), it's Microsoft now, it's death for Nokia and death for all existing mobile phones with that label Nokia on it.

Just watch, if you think I'm being sarcastic!!

Rasec, 02 Jan 2014Last year i spent 600€ on a nokia 808. Now what?Enjoy the briljant cameraphone you bought?
I guess that's the only reason you paid a bundle for your 808 right? Not for the apps it can run.

Im a nokia fan. But i prefer nokia running window phone os. Cause i love microsoft too. I grew up in the era of nokia and microsoft dominated the tech industries. Not samsung. So,i love MS and nokia working together. A true nokia fan will always all the way what thier decision or what they try to bring in the future. Peace

For me, Symbian OS @ Maemo OS rock far better than WINDOWS Mobile & Android. Nokia cares only about sales but not consumer satisfaction. Firefox OS has the most customizable User Interface all round. Nokia is lame with Windows. Please email me - reneestark55@gmail.com

The problem with Nokia is that when they were big and mighty, they completely ignored iOS and Android. They thought because they were churning up 5 million phones a day, that they could never be beat. Even 3 years after they totally lost the market, they were in complete denial, and they let the traitor Elop sell them out to microsoft for cheap. All they had to do was sell android alongside whatever else they wanted, and they could have held their place as a manufacturing powerhouse. But its too late now,
