Anonymous, 20 Jun 2009an opening eyes review! great! i hope isheep start learning... moreWhat's eye opening about this review is that the iphone is still selling. There are no official census as to how good they're doing yet, so if I were you, I'd hold my prejudice. I have the iphone 3g, and I will be getting the 3GS in a week. My friend was going to get his first iphone earlier today but had to hold off because of the long line at Brea Mall here in OC. Boring design? I don't think the rest of the pack will be copying the iphone's design if it was boring =) What's wrong with you? You call a processor twice as fast as the prior model, with voice command, compass that would give you turn by turn navigation, faster internet, better gaming hardware and software, bigger internal memory, higher megapixel for its camera, with better camera software, with touch to focus, with video 30 fps, etc, just a bit of application? LOL. Yeah, you should just rest your case for you are hopelessly unreasonable.

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2009Well said, man. Tried the iPhone, if I want to type a messa... moreWell you need both hands on all smartphones with a qwerty keyboard whether they're hard or soft. So I don't think using two hands to type a message on the iphone is an issue, but I have tried using one hand, and it was fine. If your hands are too big, again, whether it's a hard or soft qwerty keyboard, you will have a hard time. You just like to whine, huh. Millions of people have been using the iphone for 3 years now. I think it would be silly to call it a useless phone. If you have an issue with the iphone's size, then too bad. No one is forcing you to get the iphone. I could walk and type a message at the same time with my iphone. It's predictive text works really great. It's obvious that you have issues about the iphone, but you are not everyone else. The solution to your issue is very simple. It shouldn't even be an issue. Just don't buy the iphone. I don't understand why you have to whine like a little girl here =)

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2009Not to mention that the iPhone's screen is glass so if you ... moreThere are protective gears or jackets that you can buy for the iphone that would deter the glass display to hit the ground. Glass display is really better for a touchscreen phone. It does not scratch like my prior phones do. A lot of iphone users seem to be happy with its glass screen, even those who have dropped their iphones.

AMD Athlon, 19 Jun 2009Given the usual marketing overhype, this outcome should be ... moreWell said, man. Tried the iPhone, if I want to type a message I have to use both hands (one to hold it, another to type using my index finger as my thumbs are too big) and look at the "pretend keys" all the time if I want to hit them correctly. Nice thing to look at, those touch screens, but pretty useless. Just a bigger surface to break if you drop the phone. And they're supposed to be mobile, right? Not something where I have to stop and concentrate just to type a simple message? And put down whatever I am carrying from the shopping center just to be able to hold a touch screen phone properly? No thanks. I'm thankful that I don't own an iPhone and drive...

And the fact that the came up 3 times with the same boring design and just a bit of application addition, nothing essential changes, just rest my case without argument. Apple hasn't got any pressure from isheep and they will keep on releasing boring phone! see samsung with omnia hd or nokia revolutionary look from n96 to n97. that's real innovation. coming up e72 to answer you id!ot who only cares about cpu specs list on paper. what is your options isheep? very limited isn't it? wake up..

[deleted post]you really think o2 or cpw are going to report anything different? Get real. They are under so much pressure from jobs and his chums they are trying to drive hype to get more peple to buy. There were no cues and in terms of sales? Ive been into 3 cpw and 2 o2 stores today all reporting less sales than on 3g launch. As for the n97 processor.....have you used one? Of course you havent. Youre youtube videos or whatever you may have seen would have been prototypes. I have a n97 and believe you me its quick enough navigating through the menus etc. As for the iphone cpw only secured 4k of preorders in the uk. Thats piss poor. Apple have ripped there customers off with this one and those customers are starting to realise. Iphone in terms of spec isnt in the same league as n97 or omnia hd heck id rather have a 6700 over the iphone.

are you kidding me! no flash but a more megapixel camera and video, even your lower end camera phones offer that. what a joke. apple seriously have flop with this newer version of the iphone. for as the so called faster speed, well that's to be determine cause i compared it today against my iphone 3g and did not notice any signaficance difference even with the apps besides opening faster. for as the internet goes the same. switching to the nokia n97 as soon as it's avail. in the states.

probaly the reason they have iphones instead of the unlock version, let's say nokia. one cause they can't afford it and two, cause they caught up and the iphone hype, and three cause the nseries phones are not offered by carriers here in the states. the new iphone is a joke and staying with my iphone 3g do i'm able to upgrade paying a hundred dollars more then new customers or customers who are out of contract. i truly believe apple have lost their mind or know that the apple loyalist will just buy their crap just because it says apple

What with the normal symbian interface simply made touch good? the keypad that you can hardly press cause it's so un usable. Mate get an iphone, and ull understand. the touch isn't an obstacle, its a blessing, makes things 10000 times quicker than buttons, grow up seriously dude

World's simplest phone (no frills... no non-sense...very basic) yet with a touch of class.

So, let's not compare it to other phones who want to have it all.

                            Just a thought. =)

So can anyone answer me what exactly is facilitated by a touchscreen UI, aside from the initial funkiness feeling? Is there any smartphone function that can be executed better, let alone faster, on a purely touchscreen phone? Everything is just slower and/or less reliable on a TS phone, compared to one with a real keymat. There was no problem with hardware buttons and keyboards, why remove it at all?
