Got this phone prebooked fr 20k with an initial advance of 2k....the phone looked nice...comparitively slower than the iphone and the user interface wasnt too good either(compared to iphone)..bt fr 20k its a great value fr money.I too ws assuured of some good quality headphones free of cost to go along with it.

If you want to update the software, you can use nokia software updater on pc or go to nokia care centre and tell those guys that you are having a problem with phone's software ( any like phone hangs even if there's not a single problem, usually even they can't find ) n they will update software for you for free.

It's not a serious problem though. There's no use replacing the handset because there's no guarranty that your new phone will not have pixel problem.

Then lee me go... morehi. i actually just went to a nokia dealer KD Electronics Jaipur (not NPD, you can book it from any nokia dealer/NPD/Nokia Store) and prebooked mine for 19,700rs. paid 2k advance. this is strange cos at the nokia store, its selling for 19990. i asked him why the difference in price, he said that they are exclusive stores and have higher margin. I also came to know later that 19,700 is the DP of the phone. well, god knows whats the actual price. but 19700 seems to be pretty ok. the lowest ive heard in jaipur.

All you can do is, send it back and change it!
You can't fix that problem, it's deed liquid transistor component in the screen!

Just bought this fone last week!!! Have to say that after a long time Nokia have come out with a killer phone!! The best rival to the Iphone yet apart from the Blackberry Storm....

The nokia guys said they were not sure when the second lot would be out. Help me out guys. If i buy from the first lot Is it possible to update my software with the one in the second lot later. i mite have to book the phone tomorrow. Fast replies will be appreciated.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Hi guys , i finally took a live demo of 5800XM at a nokia center and itss not bad at all. the price is 21,800. The touch screen is quite responsive and the built quality seems fine. Image quality is not that great,, but honestlyi dont expect cameras on phone for results. we have actual cameras for that.

Try to reset with *#7370#..password is 12345.. If same trouble continue go to the service..

Can this phone lock specific areas? For instance I might want to lock just my mail box, but leave other menus unlocked like photos...is that possible?

Hey people.. I got my 5800 3 days ago, and after using it for some time, i gotta say it's a very nice phone... but i got a problem with it. after 2 days of using it, i notice i got a little pixel problem. One of the pixels went sleeping/stuck (not dead).. i tried few ways to fix it, including applying pressure to the spot. but nothing seems to work. also got this flashing colors option for iphone but that didn't help. any one got an idea?? PS. i think i got the latest version on it.
