No other platform has a faster UI, vast amount of compatible applications worldwide and efficient battery saving performance. Furthermore, symbian doesnt need much processing, thus it makes use of processors which arent expensive or of duo nature.

Well, I love this phone to the extent of always waiting 4 it to be out, cos I am always on the net everyday waiting for the release date. I love the features, I am proud of NOKIA.

Over 7000 votes in less than a month? Thats Insane. I saw some videos of it at mobile-review although its in russian. The UI is quite fast. Just like any recent symbian phone. Its quickly putting my touchscreen fears to rest.

King Kong, 22 Oct 2008But it is useful to have a lot more than 3 mpix if you want... moreit is true for digital cameras.. not for cellphones with camera.. the lens to capture a really good picture would require space in the phone itself. plus it needs its own processors. have you seen a digital camera as thin as the iphone or omnia? yes, N95 is bulky, but remember the space would also contain the keypad, the mobile phone board and circuitry.. what im trying to say is, dont be fooled when a phone company tells you they have 8 or 10mp.. lens matter with pictures. even a digital camera with 12mp sometimes produces bad pics compared to 8mp DSLRs..
good picture = good lens + good processor
good lens = needs space
optical zoom is waaaaayyy better than digital zoom.
we can go on and on regarding the pic quality of pics taken from camera-phones, but i hope i made my point... that all of these megapixel wars is just a marketing strategy of phone makers (including camera makers).
if you still require 10mp, i am about to think you will print a lifesize picture of yourself.. peace.. im just kidding.

for the java support.. i think it will support that. if what i understood of '+java downloadable' in the specs sheet is correct. plus it says 'java mid 2.0'. i need to research more on that.

Bigger megapixel numbers only mean bigger pictures. Unfortunately, most people use this to determine the price range of a phone. This phone has all the features of n95/n82 plus a few extras on top, but because it has a smaller camera, it is considered midrange.

Great phone for the price, but i still want 5Mpx and better video than this can do. I like functions and looks of N79 better.
