Hey guys, i found this on a nokia forum and it seems it worked for a lot of people...

I am now thinking it is a design fault with the way that the battery connects to the phone so hopefully Nokia will look into this if people have success.
Before you do what I did, you must remember that you could mess up your phone/battery if you are not extremely careful.
Make sure you don't short the battery out - hence the reason why I would suggest a cocktail stick over a pin or needle.
If you don't want to risk messing up your battery I also read that it is possible to make the battery connect better by putting a piece of card under the battery at the contact end so if you try that first please also post what method you tried.

the best mid range phone manufactured by nokia..it also has an inbuilt wi-fi for such a price..this is the best thing about this phone...

herly, 07 Jun 2010i just bought nokia 5800 AP. can i download free MS office... moremaybe bcos u downloaded too many ganes..how much is your phone memory left? some games is for s60v3 not for s60v5 may this another reason bCOS it just mentioned FOR SYMBIAN 60

Hangs ... morev50 sucks? mine is okay in fact very gud. everything is faster as matter of fact the kinetic scrolling is so sensitive n so is d autorotation. usualy i off the autorotation so when i activate it, its slow but only at for 3-4rounds after that it becomes fast so i only activate as n when needed only...
cos youtube can be in watched in landscape by just tapping the screen,
full qwerty keyboard just choose it from the multiple input screen...
games? some default in landscape some default in potrait mode. V50 is SPECIAL!!

nokia 5800xm is better than sam corby pro.......
except qwerty keyboard.
samsung galaxy spica ia another best option in that price range.

the new 5800 software provided by nokia is sucks!! Hangs a lot especially the menu n auto rotate function gets slower!!!!
