guys, chill. v 40 has just arrived and most of us don,t know it in toto. I recommend that everybody upgrade to this as it changes ur 5800 completely. Great experience. Obviously there may be some bugs, but then which sw doesn.t have one. Enjoy the upgrade and keep looking fwd for more. And lastly do not compare a 14k phone with a 20k + phone (though it is quite comparable). Have a nice day

my mailbox constantly flashes which indicates that the sim memory is full, my contacts are stored on the phone and i have deleted all messages that were sent and received etc.... and I dont have any pictures or music loaded - pls help

After upgrading from v31.0.101 to v40.0.005, the time alarm problem was solved. Now it rings on the correct time as I set.
BUT, another problem occurs;
- when the alarms is ringing, I can not stop it, must wait until end, then I can stop it or snooze it
So, v40.0.005 still has at least a bug on this Time Alarm issue.

After ... moresamsung jet is far2x better in terms of hardware , but honestly the jet looks boring after a while of use, maybe because of the os , its not smartphone ! but as i have said the jet has some very sick hardware nice amoled, and the resolution is better , also its the best resistive touch screen ever and also its 5mp cam is not the best of all the 5mp cameraphone but compared to nokia 5800's camera , its a god ! but i love symbian thats why i have nokia 5800, if only samsung jet had s60 5th edition, i would really recommend that you buy it !

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2010Try the iPhone, a dumbed-down phone may suit you better.iphone is really dumb!. scores a little better than nokia 1100 because of the color touchscreen. rest all features are dumb. example: No FM, not bluetooth file transfer, no speakerphone, poor battery, no replaceable batt/memory, many many more...

Hi everyone, I want to buy Sams Jet or Nokia 5800xm. After much of market analysis, i found Jet is Rs.4k more than 5800 in Bangalore. I am trying to find the worth of that 4k difference.
Improved&far better 5Mp camera+DivX,XVid plaer, better&bigger touchUI, better browzer, FMrecording etc. are the few value additions i found. However one major drawback is - Jet cant tranfer every content to TV (on tv out) its used only for Vid/Audio, (not even for photos?), but 5800 does show any screen on TV.
And JET -NO stereo speakers, 5800-has very good stereo speakers.
Guys, Please help me find in depth technical differences. Only some really really technical comparizon will help. Mobile phone/apps developers? please .... [i know many websites compare physical appearance & features overview, but tough to get hardware capabilities, features&apps for the future & all]

i was able to update my 5800xm via OTA...like yesterday.this v40 update is beta than all the rest...
