Hi Roy Pater =)
I have mine for 4months now and no scratch and peeling paint yet. never been in repair yet and battery life for me is normal even when using bluetooth. But if you switch on bluetooth the whole day and not turn it off, it will definitely drain your battery.
I guess it depends on the usage of this phone or whatever phone model or brand we use.
I cant blame you though if you're disappointed with it. No one or nothing can please everybody ;)
And by the way its really a bad PDA, because it's NOT a PDA.

Had this phone for six months now & very disappointed. If u use the bluetooth the battery life is less than a day, the system is slow and takes time to jump from one app to another. Been in for repair once already. The paint on the silver case is already peeling off! It is a crap phone and a bad PDA. Been a Nokia fan all my life but will change now!!

I am planning to buy a Nokia 6260 and i am trying to find out if the phone supports the 850 Mhz cingular frequency. The Nokia product page says that it supports 850 Mhz in north america and 900 Mhz else where. I am a lil confused with that statement. Cna anyone tell me what it means. I am not sure where to find a phone like that either. All suggestions r welcome. Please reply.
Thanks

Hey Lucas =)
I believe that 512mb will work with your 6260. This website which i a manufacturer of RS-MMC called MobyMemory sells 512MB RS-MMC that is tested with Nokia 6260
http://www.mobymemory.com/proddetail.asp?prod=rsmmc512%5F001
If you look on the Mobile Compatibility List next to the picture or the photo, Nokia 6260 is listed.
This RS-MMC also includes an adapter that you can attach to it to make it a normal size MMC that you can place on any MMC compatible device or gadget.
I hope this helps you =)

Lucas, correction on my post below this.
what i mean is "some mobile phones are also picky when it comes to MEMORY CARD brands. Majority of users prefer Trancend and it works for them"
sorry for my mistake. ciao!

Hey Lucas =)
yes you can use 126MB memory card for your 6260.
Just make sure its the regular RS-MMC and not the Dual Voltage RS-MMC or what they call "DV RS-MMC", because it will not work.
some mobile phones are also picky when it comes to phone brands. Majority of users prefer Trancend and it works for them.
it would be helpful if you bring your phone with you and if possible, have the sales agent test the memory card into your phone, or ask a guarantee that you can exchange it for another brand if it will not work. in this way, you wont be throwing away your money =)
asking your friends on which brand is good is alo helpful.

Hi Hobbs =)
Did you change memory card?
Did you installed any additional application like Full screen caller, themes, file manager.. or any software that will automatically startup when it loads your phone OS? If so, try to uninstall them and any software you might have added. if this doesnt work or IF YOU DIDNT installed anything, try to reset the phone back to factory or default settings (WARNING: this might erase some of your settings like MMS or GPRS configuration, ringtones, wallpaper, time and date, display brightness, etc... and also, be sure to backup your files in your phone like addressbook, messages, pictures, musicfiles, documents if u have). im not sure if it will erase address book or messages, but just to be sure, u might want to back them up unless you dont care.
If it still doesnt work, i suggest you bring it to your nearest Nokia shop.
I had my phone for like 4 months now and i had maybe two occassions of errors (it was my mistake though) and a couple of times when my phone restarts. and thats it. but never locked up. i have installed and uninstalled lots of software already. also transfered music and themes and pictures. its still stable.
If in case you're going to install an application make sure its tested for 6260. and if it is, restart the phone after installation even if it doesnt prompt you to do so. unless you are sure that the application doesnt require restart.
Also, try to reseat the memory card that you have. this might help.
