hi .. i am wondering if its possible to like install applications in the phone without using a data cable? i mean, can we like just take out the memory card and install some programs or themes into it? Will it work? A data cable a musy for the 6260? i spent a bomb on the phone alone and dun wish to fork another sum for the cable. Pls advise. Thanks.

    Hey Red =)

video quality is like 3650 (though you can get decent quality under a good lighting).
though i've noticed that 6600 has better quality with reagrd to video.

the hinge isnt bad. mine is not loose so far.

i havent dropped my phone and I dont want to try. my advice, avoid dropping it. though i think that if you drop it on a hard surface, it will still work. but after a few drops, i think one of the plastic piece might crack.

you might get bored with 6170. i think it has no expandable memory. it has no bluetooth as well. i've tried it myself and i dont like the interface and the screen (just my own opinion).

                        and oh qi! additional thought...

...check if your RS-MMC (Reduced Size MMC) is the regular one and not the Dual Voltage RS-MMC (DV RS-MMC) for 6630. That will not really work with 6260.

                        ciao! =)

                          Hey qi =)

Yes it can read 256MB RS-MMC.

If you've read on our previous posts, we've discussed about RS-MMC compatibility issues with regard to some memory card brands being picky. Or it could be possible that the card you bought is 100% compatible with 6260 but it might be defective. See if you can have it replaced, or maybe swapped with another brand.

                              Hi Rahul =)

Usually the SIM card will automatically set the SMS config when you insert it.

As far as I know, T-Mobile's Service Center number for SMS is: +12063130004.

If you wanna know more about setting up services for T-Mobile, you'd better call them or visit their official website.

                                    I agree with Andy214

If they make this phone smaller, it'll be thicker and they gonna have to change the internal design of this like SIM card and MMC position, and all.
My previous phone is 6600 and I never complain for its size. With regard to 6260, they do have a reason why this is a bit bigger compared to other flip phone. I think Nokia wouldn't put twist feature, bigger screen, and spaceous keypads if they'll design this smaller. And for sure if they made it that way you'll complain about small screen, crowded keypad and all instead of complaining about its unit size.

Though the SIM card is difficult to remove, they placed it under the memory card to at least save a little more space, unlike in 6600 which is kindof next to each other.

I'm not a Nokia endorser or something as I've aready tried another brand. All I want to say is that Nokia wouldn't make a design of a particular phone for no reason.

In the first place, 6260 targets the business side market and not the general mass or public. If you're a non-business type of person or digs a teeny-bopper type of phone, then look for something else. As I've said on my previous post, each of us has different tastes which would eventually change like mine. I like the candy-bar type of cellphone before (like the old 5110, or 6600) and now I'm loving flip phones (clamshell) and I'm starting to look for another good one or wait for the Panasonic Z800 and give it a try at the store =P (WINK)

                                    keep it cool Andy!
